As anyone heard any rumours what the fixtures for each day will be?

Ideally would like Saturday last game but against who?

Think the details are out on Monday.

With it being the week after Catalan away may but a few Wiganers off, unless its a good game.

Cant see it being Warrington or Saints because will effect the size of crowd on the other days.

Why is this the second time we get paired with possibly the worst supported team from Yorkshire as the 'Main Event' of one of the days? There will be hardly anyone there to support Huddersfield.

Leeds for us, last game of Saturday night so I'm hearing.

Similar games to last year with a similar fixture layout overall.

It will always annoy me that Magic is an "extra" fixture, but it annoys me even more that there's no pattern to how the fixtures are picked. Leeds (if true) for the 3rd consecutive year just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Now that P&R is back there's no way the RFL can justify this fixture.

How is it fair that we get an extra game against someone like Leeds or Warrington?

Surely it makes more sense to put the stronger sides against each other now that there's relegation?

Having the likes of Wakefield play Wigan would surely be an unfair disadvantage to Wakefield if their relegation rivals were playing lesser sides?

Widnes v Hull is the Thursday game following the Magic weekend.
If there is any "duty of care" then both those teams should play their "Magic" games on the Saturday

Wigan are away at Catalan the week before the Magic weekend, so they should play on the Sunday.

But this is the RFL so anything can happen.

What about if there's a "surprise package"? Cas playing wakefield with Saints playing Wire could have easily cost you the LLS last season. There's no way there should be a mis-matched fixture list now teams can be relegated.

I agree. There is no need for the extra fixture.

They should have held this over for the Super 8's

There are 7 fixtures in the Super 8's, So Magic Weekend would allow for that to be an even amount of home games.

Each day could be 4 fixtures. 2 from the middle 8 and 2 from the top 8.

The issue is the timing but with a move of stadia, this should have been taken into account.

Agreed. We will meet as the last game on Saturday. Rogues, Hull will play Hull KR on Saturday and the weekend ends with a clash of magnificence.... Wakey v Cas!

Personally, as it is an extra fixture it has run its course. It started out as a "Derby" event but Wigan and Leeds is hardly a derby clash. The only time I think it worked was at Murrayfield when the previous seasons top four went into a hat and produced two fixtures, then 5th to 8th and then 9th to 12th.

Again, only my opinion but this round of fixture should not be an extra fixture.

Hull and Widnes both play on the Saturday - We meet at 1900 hours on the Saturday to close the day.

Also, this made me laugh:

After the first half of the season is done, whoever finishes 1 plays 2, whoever finishes 3 plays 4 etc etc.
Then have 3 magic weekends, Top 8 being the main one at the big stadium, have the 2nd tier magic at a decent sized stadium like the Reebok and the 3rd tier at a superleague ground.

7pm for Wigan v Leeds - there's a good few who won't remember a thing about the game!

I have looked for hotels etc for the Saturday but all seemed booked up.

Rhinos fans aren't happy either, but Wigan have been their biggest rivals for a couple of years now, since Bulls fell apart. Hudds v Leeds and Wigan v Warry would've been better though, or even Leeds v Saints.
