Eastmond and Pryce both off injured, interesting to see how they manage in the run in if they're serious.

If the Pryce and Eastmond injuries are serious then Saints are finished. You can see on the field now that they don't have any ideas outside of Roby.

Well as the OP said... a 4pt win for Leeds. Dosent matter to us as we'll have 1 of them 2 for the home game in the playoffs.. anyway

I know they were missing Pryce and Eastmond, and lacking organisation and direction, but I still didn't understand why Saints were playing one man rugby every tackle for the last ten minutes, when they are 4 points down. I expected them to change it, but it never came.

I'd like to avoid Leeds if possible. Dangerous team.

Like you said Pryce and Eastmond both going off injured would screw any teams fluency up.

Thought Saints played well. But even if Price and Easmond had stayed on you get the feeling they would struggle late on as they did against Hull and Wigan. They don't look (understandably with the amount of youngsters they are blooding) like the ruthless outfit they were.

I think we may have to win a few more than that.

I wouldn't write them off yet - apart from Wire away, they've got an easy run in now - all the bottom teams.

Their injuries are not as bad as feared. We have plenty of bodies to come back yet, just in time for the last minute surge at the end of the season. Leeds should have won that game tonight by plenty but failed to do so. Our players did us proud tonight considering the disruption to the team.

I totally agree.

We started the match with, what?, six of our first choice players missing? Then we lose our two primary playmakers during the match along with one of our good young forwards and they only beat us by four points? They should have hung, drawn and quartered us, especially with their ten internationals on the pitch.

I was well proud of Saints tonight. Just a pity Wello wasn't having a good game. If he'd caught that dead easy ball with the tryline open to him, we would have won even with all the injuries.

Leeds and Stains will be in the mix come the playoffs, and have a proven pedigree when it comes to adapting to the rules of the competition.
