I would say Kenny because I saw the 1985 tournament when it happened and the final was the best game I have seen IMO, but I suppose who you vote for depends on your own age. Someone under 30 might go for somebody like Tuigamala as they saw him but did not see Kenny. Some of the older fans may go for someone like Ces Mountford or Trevor Lake.

I think the best part of votes like this one are the stories and reasons behind the choice.

Remeber Tony Iro scoring a screamer of a try right infront of me away at Doncaster in 1989. He was about 3 foot behind the ball when it was thrown out to his wing and he leapt forward, took it mid-air and flew over to score what for me was an impossible try.

I remember Kevin Iro being pretty much unplayable in two consecutive CC Finals against saints and wire. Bagged a brace in both so I'll go for him. I was only two in 1985 so I've only ever seen highlights and clips of the Kenny Final

I take it you mean at Murrayfield in 2002 when we beat the Stains. He came out of the line and intercepted when we were under pressure on our own line in the second half.If you don't mean this incident then you are taking the p*ss.

Kevin Iro. I agree with Dirtbag. Iro was awsome at his peak. Brett Kenny was superb but only played for one season.

I agree with you about Kenny, but I'm going for Deano - only Edwards has a better CC record than him.

Always liked Trevor Lake. He scored a great try in the 1965 cup final against Hunslet.

I got bitten very badly by the Rugby League bug at that game.

Dean Bell - played in 7 of the eight challenge cup finals. Great player and adopted wiganer.

Cec Mountford could be considered, first 'overseas' winner of the Lance Todd in 1951, Dean Bell fantastic Wembley record plus a Lance Todd, hard to argue with his selection, but Brett Kenny was a dream of a player, 'The Natural' as he was named, "the best player I ever coached" said John Monie, more proof that we have been 'spoiled' over the years with great players !!!

Or Lance Todd himself, of course...so good they named a trophy after him...

That wasn't really for him playing career though, more for his coaching efforts at Salford. He neevr won the Challenge Cup with Wigan anyway.

The vote is for players that participated in the Challenge Cup at any stage. They don't need to have won the cup or even played in the final. Lance Todd certainly played in the cup for Wigan and probably played in the 1911 final when we lost to Broughton. He was also part of a very highly rated threequarter line so would have been a very good player. Though I doubt there are many people still around that would have seen him play so I can't see him polling too many votes.

Brett Kenny, Dean Bell or Kevin iro for me.

But just a little question, how many points did Frano get in his CC finals, is he the leading all time foriegn point scorer????
