The interesting thing it could be forcing Nobbys hand again by pushing Tommy to 9.

If Tommy is a revelation at 9, Nobby will probably push him back to 7 though...

It would be nice to see tommy at hooker for the saints game, think we would be better off with him attacking the line, although we could do with riddell's experience, and also his distribution.

He will be missed but i would like they would bring Mcilorum back to start on the bench and put tommy at no 9 and start with sam at 6.

I agree with you about Tommy at hooker, although I'd rather see Riddell in the squad than mickey mc, I think he offers more, and his experience could help us.

On the flip side, the more wiganers in the side agianst Saints, the better, so if Piggy is injured, including McCilorum might not be that bad.

I think I'd rather see Sam at 7 (I think he played there in the reserves) and then Smith at 6, from what I hear he gave another good performance today, and at one point the commentator said "Smith makes the tackle on half way"

yeah tommy should stay at 9 he has been awesome there and tbh in the last few games smith and tomkins have worked well together

Tommy did well when he came on at 9 when Piggy went off injured. He probed around the middle and really got them on the back foot.

I think we all know it's his best position but we may have to wait a little while until he plays there fulltime.

Phelps played at 9 last year when he first came over, think he got knocked out early in the 2nd half but he wasnt bad, if Piggys out and Carmont & Hansens back i'd go with:

Nothing against Mickey Mac, but he aint been on top form lately, and cant see who he would replace...

Also Bring Hansen in over Bailey, Bailey for me offers nothing, even his defence has gone down the past few games, and with Smith coming into form, Hansen could form a good partnership with him like he did with Barrett hitting the line hard off decent passes, Bailey doesnt offer us that.

Phelps had a cracking game at 9 last year but he should be kept in the backs for me.

Roberts to miss out along with Riddell(if injured) for me with Carmont and McIlorum coming in.

Or leave Bailey, who is protecting Smith in defence, where he is.

Hansen could do exactly the same, AND offer something in attack.
