until Beckham did his a few years back nobody had heard of a metatarcel injury it was always just a broken foot. Think i might go get myself one of these metatarcel things it sounds all the range at the moment.

ben davies could probably play a few games, hes a player who plays with his heart on his sleeve and has much needed aggression to play in the front row. id say mossop could be moved up and utilise him as a prop.

Another option is chris tuson, i havent heard alot about him this year though. is he fully fit?

Ben Davies is the next prop. Mossop or Hock could also move up IMO.

Chris is back in full training but hasn't played yet. This is following his injury in the Reserves semi last year.

At the moment, if need arose, I'd be tempted to play Hock at prop and bring in either Mossop or Flanagan into the back row if required.
Obviously, the easy option would be to bring back Roberts/Goulding and put Bailey back into the back row.

Big blow for him! Similar to Prescott last season. Just as he is hitting his best form the lad gets injured.

I'll bet Neil Holland is a bit sick at the moment. This could have been an opportunity for him, but I don't think he'll be available until around June time.

How old are the next string of potential props? IMO they have next to no chance. Nobby will pick Hock and even Bailey at prop before them should we get another injury.

Neil Holland has just turned 20 and Ben Davies is 19.

Seeing as we have 4 x frontline props in the squad I don't think currently there is a need to.
Hock has been playing like a 3rd prop at times during the season so I don't see that being a problem & with our wealth of back row talent at the moment asking Bailey to do 2 x 15/20min spells at prop wouldn't be too much of an ask if one of the other 5 got injured IMO.

They should give Neil a go - on the basis that he had a couple of games of touch and pass with us when he was 15 we can claim him as the first player to graduate from the Riversiders to the 1st team

Bailey played at prop in a dire emergency! There is no way he can be considered there.

i would also like to see hock move up to the front row for a spell, more than anything just to see if it would work. his offloading is good (sometimes!) but for me i always felt it was his ability to know a single defender off and use his pace to make the break, somthing that i dont feel he would have the ability to do up the middle of the park because he will have 2-3 taklers hanging off him.

that said i would like to see how he goes. he might not have the bulk just yet but he is so strong he might do well. i have an open mind with the whole will he wont he argument about him moving up. i would also like to see mossop get a chance. there is so much momentum with reagrds to our youngsters coming through and doing well atm.
