Other than them all X Factor karaoke stars, I didn't think it was too bad in terms of 'profile' - Diana Vickers had a number one album and single earlier in the year, and I'm pretty sure Rhydian probably did after his stint on the show too. I'm pretty sure this game doesn't need pre-match entertainment to sell out mind!

Never understand why they don't try and get a popular up and coming band on. The chance to play infront of 75,000 people with thousands watching on tv is a massive chance to be seen!

Because the pre match is aimed at the families, women and children and for that, there is nothing bigger than x factor.

Beacause unfortunately the country is populated by millions of idiots (or x factor watchers) and Diana Vickers et al is a bigger draw than a quality band making quality music.

Diana Vickers? They've done well to get someone as high profile as a no.1 selling popstar to perform at the GF, an event ignored by large sections of the media. Good work for once by the RFL.

They've had some decent acts in the past to be fair.

I saw Madness there at the 05 GF I think.

and ive seen Steps, Five, and Heather Small...............all a bit bigger than x factor wanna bes......still..its the game were all going for, and x factor performers will please the kids.

re: the music acts. It just makes us look small-time not being able to attract bigger acts. OK, we're never going to get Super Bowl-type acts like The Who, but at least Steps and Five were big at the time.

Yes the PA man did sound lees happy when he was reading the score out at headlingley.

diana vickers is good, and rydian can belt out a tune so its ok by me

dont know when last time anyone looked at charts but dianna vickers IS big at the moment released 1 song went number 1 relaesed 1 album went number 1 what more can they do
not my cup of tea but im sure there be quite a few different tastes in music in a 75000 crowd
