Pathetic. Completion rates embarrassing. Not having a reliable goal kicker has cost us yet another game.

What does everyone else think?

We need a goal kicker for start. Smith is not consistent enough. Does OK one week and poor the next. Should not have mattered though at 6-20 up.

TBF to them the live scores section on the Super League website had Thornley down as scoring although it has been changed to Williams now, well George Willia so it's getting closer

Seems to me we're lacking leadership on the field, without Lockers nobody is stepping up. All we needed was some composure in that last half hour, just going through the basics and not making stupid mistakes, but there was no-one there to set the tempo.

Well surely that guy should be MM? But he's not the guy to do it.

Now where have we heard that before? I like SW & we've done some fantastic stuff with him charge. But I wish he'd change the record once in a while.

Just watching the scores on Wigan TV, looks like we scored some nice tries. But then to let that lead slip is unforgivable.

I live in Hull so went to the game. We were awful, Smith ATM offers nothing - he has no running game, no passing game and his kicking game is woeful. How many times has he put a bomb up this season and it falls 20m short of where it should be landing. Centres are just bash and barge, no guile at all. We are also letting teams wind us up and weak refs like Hicks will fall for it, giving penalties away when we have the ball is unforgivable.MM has been done twice this season for that, really, really dumb.

No idea what you mean. MM should be Smith, Smith should be capt or MM offers nothing?

I seem to remember that Smith's kicking isn't far from Richards in completion, BUT he seems to be scapegoat of the moment on the forums. Wigan have been slow starters for years, every season we see these forums descend into "blame X".

That said, I'm watching the Warrington game at the moment. They are not looking good at all.

What was meant was that Smith should be the experienced pro who'd calm down any young hot-heads around him.

Teams don't need to wind you up. You resort to roughhouse tactics every time things don't go your way.

Looks like you'll be without Charnley next week. Should suffer the same fate as Matty Smith for the petulant kick on Campese.

Wigan were winning with ten to go? So didn't need any roughhouse tactics? Can't recall any bad tackles, punches, brawls etc just daft niggly penalties.

Charnley kicked out at a Rovers player. Refs didn't see it at the time. He seemed wound up all afternoon.

On the field discipline needs sorting out now and we need a leader on the pitch when Lockers is not there. How to throw 2 points away just watch the last 20 minutes, ah well it's only a game.

I think last weeks game took it out of Wigan.

Wigan were in control of the game, but through their handling errors and very poor discipline just invited HKR back into the game. It may sound strange but Wigan defended very well, but that was because they gave so much ball and field position away in the second half.

The leadership team really need to have a look at their performances. We had three twenty year olds, three twenty-one year olds and a nineteen year old in the team today. They deserved better from their experienced teammates.

What game where you watching? No major brawls but numerous coming togethers during the game and one of them coming togethers punches where thrown. I think roughhouse tactics come from when we scored tries dummies where spat out from Wigan and handbags started resulting in Wigan stupidly flying out the line the following defensive set

The main instigator of that and the first one to start throwing punches was Ben Cockayne, no doubt he will be at Red Hall again this week.
