This year's Challenge Cup quarter-final draw will take place on Tuesday morning (1 May, 0820 BST, Radio Five).

Semi draw is at 3.36am and is taking place on a desert island in the middle of the pacific ocean and will be broadcast on an Algerian pirate radio show.

The draw will be on the side of an Eddie Stobart truck somewhere on a motorway in the UK on Tuesday morning.

The club call announcement this year is being held on the surface of Venus at 11pm so that it's a bit cooler.

Why do we have to wait till Tuesday for the draw when the games are less then 2 weeks away,why couldnt it been done on BBBC Manc/Leeds after the games had finished or on 5live at 6pm today it makes sense but that and the RFL dont go together.

The RFL haven't decided what games they want yet.

Anybody want to predict want the RFL want the set up, in no order

Wigan v Huddersfield
London v Leeds
Leigh v saints
Warrington v Catalan

Leeds will play Leigh it's much easier for them.

Would like to place money that WIGAN get the hardest game though

If I had the time or if I could be ars*d, I would love to see how many home / away games each of the top sides have had in CC in recent years. I seem to moan to myself every year that we end up with away games and Saints are always at home!

You can't help be a bit sceptical of the draw when we seem to always get drawn away from home whenever it may throw up a fixture clash with Latics. Infact we just seem to always get drawn away unless we've got a Championship 2 side coming to town.

Latics play Wolves at home on the Sunday of the next round so it's a fair bet we'll be drawn away from home. My guess is Huddersfield.

It's been a whopping 2 seasons since we were sent to Leeds in the cup though...

Surely whoever plays Wigan will get the hardest game?

I remember the Nostradamus who posted on here the last 16 fixtures ahead of their announcement a couple of years ago (which apart from one fixture being the wrong way round were spot on, and the odds are pretty long on getting that right by chance). That really was one for the conspiracy theorists.



Perhaps they could do so again at the QF stage this year.

after a couple of games against lower league opposition, I don't think you could complain about getting a SL club this time around.

FWIW London and Leigh apart, its not going to be an easy draw for anybody.

It`s not as if Leeds have drawn SL opposition 13 or 14 times in a row though is it? Oh wait a minute!!
