Not really, wellens has been brilliant the last 2 games they have played, he's lost a lot of pace but positionally he's arguably still the best full back in SL, and he still pops up with the odd try. They are better with him than without him.

I can't see why either would take the early guilty plea with it being a derby game next up.

Both will take the risk of a hearing and I'm sure at least one and probably both will get off.

Out of interest, what is the difference between Lauaki's Grade C offence of a "Dangerous tackle – places in a dangerous position" but didn't land in a dangerous position, and Laffranchi's Grade B offence, "Places in a dangerous position and reaches the ground in a dangerous position".

How is a tackle that lands a player in a dangerous position not as bad as one that doesn't?

IMO Wellens will get off and Laffrinchi will get one match

Makinson in at FB and Puletua in to replace Laffranchi. Simples. I like Makinson, he provides a lot more pace obviously but whether his positional play is upto scratch I don't know. His support play is certainly good as shown in corresponding fixture last season. Should be interesting

yeah not sure wellens has done anyhting makinson couldnt have done. he has just been a support player in the last 2 weeks. his form this season bar those 2 has been abysmal

Not true. Wello was excellent at Bradford. He was pretty much the only one, mind, but excellent nontheless. He spent the first two games of the season out injured.

However, he does deserve a ban IMO for his tackle on Briers, as Laffranchi does for his on whatsisface. They were both dangerous tackles and regardless of whether an accident or not they should be punished accordingly.

If Wellens doesnt play whover fills in should get bombed to death with lots of pressure put on them from the chasers, smash their confidence an all that.
