| With our injurys and suspension what would everyone go with on Saturday?
I'd go:
1. Tomkins
2. Charnley
3. Goulding
4. Gelling
5. Richards
6. Finch
7. Mellor
8. Mossop
9. Leuluai
10. Lauaki
11. Hansen
12. Hock
13. O'Loughlin
14. Lima
15. McIlorum
16. Tuson
17. Flower
I know its risky throwing Mellor in at the deep end against the champions but Leuluai is just not a half, Mellor should be able to cope with the likes of Tomkins, Finch, Leuluai and O'Loughlin around him. Anyone young lad with rugby skills should be able to, we dont expect the world of him from the beginning.
I've gone with Lauaki starting and Lima on the bench simply because when Mossop and Lima came off and Lauaki and Flower came on we looked ridiculously weaker. I think this evens it out abit more and hopefully there will be less damage once substituions are made.

I'd Have Hughes before Gelling and Powell instead of Mellor

| Same as last week with Gelling in for Carmont, I'm sure a few players will want to make up for Sunday so give them chance.
Mellor on the bench to come on at 7 with Tommy going to 9 and MM coming off.

| The vast majority of players deserve to be given the chance to prove last week was just a blip but theres obviously going to be a couple of changes.
I'd go-
S Tomkins
Charnley
Goulding
Gelling
Richards
Finch
Leuluai
Lima
McIlorum
Mossop
Hansen
Hock
O'Loughlin
subs
Lauaki
Flower
Tuson
Russell
McIlorum should be given the first 25-30 mins to rattle some bodies then bring Russell in at 1 freeing Sam to go in to the halfs and Tommy to get a good stint in at 9.
If the forwards can get us on top Tommy will roll us forward, Sam will find loads of space at 6 and Russell can catch them by suprise with his pace and footwork.
Masterplan!

| I wouldn't go for Russell at fullback against Leeds as Sinfield will kick him to death.

| Powell is ahead of both russell and Mellor. However, it will either be the big academy prop spencer on the bench with flower in the back row, jack hughes stepping up or fielden or preccy returning a week early. I think we may see a surprise return for fielden off the bench ...mmmm

| Judging on pre season only, Jack Hughes may be the next big breakthrough IMO. Looked very aggressive when i have seen him and did none to shabby at against Hudds.
I never attended on Sunday as i was working and i have not witnessed just how poor many are saying. However i would keep the exact same squad and see how they go. To easy to drop a couple when from what i have heard many were poor.
No scapegoats, just put it behind us and perform well against the loiners. After that drop anyone who does not perform

No but I actually think Wane is right to try him out there. Sometimes you have just got to plug a gap. Worth a try.

But what if Gelling isn't quite up to standard straight away? It makes sense to look for multiple options. At least with Hughes at centre it's giving game time to a very promising young player who would struggle to get chances in his preferred position.

Judging by the friendlys I saw (Huddersfield and Leigh) I'd say Gelling is ahead of Hughes in the centre position.

| Gelling has to play for me. Its the reason we bought him. Otherwise it is a mad decision to send stef marsh to widnes and replace him with gelling if gelling wasnt going to play.

| Gelling is an interesting one def bought for the future but is big and powerful and would do damage against Leeds but as Wane has said he is way off the defensive system we use. On the other hand we have a couple of academy players who could step in who play the defensive system we use but would they offer anything in attack.
For me id rather have Gelling he offers a bigger threat in attack and he is going to have experiance in Pat talking him through the game and the best way to learn is to do it

| The Rhinos have a young centre partnership but they look up to the job I thought Hardaker would just fill a gap on the wing but he bulked up and looked a SL centre in the play offs. Watkins has been well thought of but had a few unjuries. I would prefer to face them with a weaker centre pairing now than later in the season when they could both be on top of their game.

| This weekend could work well for Gelling. All im looking for is some solid defence from him. Im sure in time he will grow into a good centre. I just hope he doesn't get the back lash if he doesn't perform.
Should be an Interesting read come the end of the game win or lose.

| After looking at some of the footage of the Huddersfield game our defence needs work. Its Hock who cold be the game breaker for me in attack running at their backs. But this is organised by the halves.
Its only the second game but its a tough start.

| The general consensus on the Leeds board is that barring injuries we will line up something like this:
Webb
BJB Watkins Hardaker Hall
Sinfield McGuire
Bailey McShane Peacock
Delaney JJB
Ablett
Burrow, Griffin, Kylie, Hauraki
We have a few knocks but nothing too serious as no one has been ruled out yet.

| When Roberts was playing well everyone said that he had the 'X' factor. I feel that other Wigan players with the 'X' factor are Sam, Pat and Hock. These are followed by the good professionals...O'Loughlin, Finch, Carmont, Leuluai etc.
However, I think Leeds have quite a few 'X' factor players. These are Webb, Hall, Watkins, Sinfield, McGuire, Burrow and Peacock. Their back up players such as JJB and Ablett do an excellent job.
We will have to play exceptionally well to beat them on Saturday. Let's hope they have the World Club Challenge on their minds.

| We looked a hell of a lot better on sunday lining up with O'Loughlin at 6 and Leuluai at 9, if farrell wasn't banned I would have played him at loose and let lockers start at 6 freeing up leuluai to start at 9. I think I would give Powell a game.
1. Sam Tomkins
2. Josh Charnley
3. Darrell Goulding
4. Anthony Gelling
5. Pat Richards
6. Brett Finch
7. Sam Powell
8. Epalahame Lauaki
9. Tommy Leuluai
10. Lee Mossop
11. Harrison Hansen
12. Gareth Hock
13. Sean O'Loughlin
14. Ben Flower
15. Jeff Lima
16. Mike McIllorum
17. Chris Tuson

| What's the general consensus with the Wigan fans on this game, do you think you will win? I think it will be incredibly close like last season, so could go either way on the day really.
