I agree right on 61:06 min mark, Ablett is 3 yards in front of Sinfield when he kicks, its charged down and Deacon is challenged by an offside Ablett who then procedures to take off Deacons head with a haymaker (which Bentham penalised Wigan repeatedly against Burrows). Deacon ducks and then Wigan go on to score. A little forward pass vs an offside and a haymaker, I think Leeds got off with one of those offenses.
The scrum at the end is simples, Charnley kicks the ball to chase towards the try line and Burrows charges it down, ball bounces towards Charnley and hits him and goes out of touch. Ball played man, Burrows intended to charge it down, Charnley quite clearly tries to get out of the way. It's amazing how some people forget the rules when it suits them.....

Look at 69:03, Finch kicks a grubber, Sinfield QUITE CLEARLY takes out SAM TOMKINS. Did big fat Gary Schofield or sheep sha**in Jonathon Davies see that??? No, but when your retarded from birth you miss the glaringly obvious....

No one has mentioned the non play of the ball by Leeds in the build up to their 2nd try I think. All we got of the beeb commentators was "was that a play of the ball, not sure it’s debatable” how was it? It was never a legal play the ball. Wigan fans could point loads of those turd decisions out but we won so let sleeping dogs lie.

Exactly the way I saw it, thought that happened watching at the game, then had it confirmed watching the replay.

I want to remember it as a great final, and it was, but because of poor commentators and idiotic punditary, a tidal wave of unfounded claims has come our way and we have to defend them???? Wigan got away with ONE forward pass, Leeds got away with half a dozen decisions. Why do the scouse idiots have to put their 2 pennies worth into our great victory??
Now we know that the Saints players during the last 10 years of super league where paid in Ireland to hide from the salary cap I think its time the RLF disqualify them from all their victories and show them up for the disgraceful cheats that they were.

For Leeds second try Ablett clearly does NOT play the ball properly. No debate over it. Should have been a pen to Wigan.

Yet its hardly mentioned in commentary. Anytime we seem to get a 50 50 call we never hear the end of it. Is it just me or did Jonathon Davies seem totally gutted that Wigan won?

Glad you see what most of us at home could see that the refereeing decisions probably cost Leeds the game. But as I've said on another forum history only remembers the winners but any one who has half a brain would say you were very, very lucky and if sport was fair then the trophy would be back in Leeds now. Most people on your forum, not most people who watched the game yesterday, as I think you will find nearly everyone other person than your own will agree you were very lucky. For the majority of the match you were second best. But that's how sport goes just nice to see Wigan fans being so honest about their victory. What a load of crap, ive seen some bitter excuses but thats the worst ive ever heard.

I think we showed yesterday how good we are defensively. Leeds had as much ball as they will ever get in a game against us and still couldn't do us. Typical British mentality, our defence needs to be copied by others.

Im missing something here. We won by 10 points didnt we? So scrap Limas try and the goal off and erm.... we still win.

Sinfield is one of the game's best cheats, by which I mean he is very, very good at it. Could have been the difference between scoring and not, as in this instance we didn't. That happens to be the second time in as many meetings that Sinfield has taken Pat out in the air with no intention of contesting for the ball.

And if we're scrapping tries then the 2nd Leeds one from the Ablett "play the ball" has to go.
