I'd take that in a hear beat. He'd make an excellent director of rugby IMO. I don't see him as a coach or tactician type of guy but he's done well at building up Hull KR. Decent eye for potential as well Vella, Green, Galea etc have all done well

I've backed Wane for the job from the start so I'd be a little sad if it's gone to Morgan. Not because I don't think he's a good coach but because I believe Wane deserved a shot.

Now if Morgan were to bring Dobson with him.........

He's made some excellent signings for Hull KR.

Dobson, Briscoe, Fox, Webster, Newton, Vella, Gallea, Clinton etc all have been top players for Hull KR and if I'm not wrong he signed all of them?

Btw there are plenty of players I'd sign from RU who would be huge in RL

I think Morgan as director of rugby Rads as Rugby manager would be great with wane as first team head coach and assisted by sculthorpe and deacon with Bitcon assisted by Hampo as the head of sports science and fitness

Why would we want Morgan to lead us in a direction that he's been preaching at KR, that clearly hasn't been as successful as the one Madge brought to us.

Morgan would represent a definite step down from Maguire. Wane is probably not as good either, but at least having spent two years working with Madge he might be in a position to continue in the same manner and keep the club going in the right direction.
Justin Morgan has been in the same place for too long and I'd be surprised if he has learnt much in terms of coaching over the last few years. At least Wane has been learning from someone with fresh ideas and who has been called the best coach they've played under by some of the most experienced players at the club.

Not every team can win trophies. Just because you haven't got a winners medal round your neck doesn't mean you aren't a good player or haven't been a good signing.

At the end of the day do you not agree the above named players have been good signings for Hull KR? Who else should they have signed?

For me Morgan has squeezed the best out of his lads & Agar hasn't.

Again I'm not saying he should be the head coach here but, IMO, he'd make a decent director of rugby as he's got an eye for talent.

It's Wane's turn for the top job and he's more than earned a crack. For me it's all about getting the right guys/supporting cast round him.

I'd still be very interested in Tony Rea as a number 2. I don't know why IL hadn't already snapped him up seeing he's out of work and they seem to have a good previous relationship.

I dont like the director of rugby role. you have to have faith in the head coach.

Definately of the opinion that Morgan has run his course at Rovers, however I dont think he is a poor coach, in fact, i think he is a very good coach, and like has been said before he has squeezed every ounce out of our current squad. I think he would keep Wigan at your current level which to be fair there isn't much higher you can get. I think in the long run, this could be a good move for both of our clubs.
