| We're a couple of months away from the four nations now and even though super league has been really competitive this year I'm struggling to think of who the best team would concist of this year, who would you pick? Here's my effort (keep in mind Peacock is out injured and Leon Pryce probably is too).
1. S.Tomkins
2. Gardner
3. Gleeson
4. Atkins
5. Hall
6. McGuire
7. Eastmond
8. Graham
9. Sinfield
10. Morley (C)
11. Ellis
12. O'Loughlin
13. Burgess
14. Lynch
15. Roby
16. Crabtree
17. J.Tomkins
I might be a little biased there though (four Wiganers and only two Wires)

| It pains me to say it but you can't really leave out Ben Westwood. Don't know who he could come in for though

He's on nearly a try a game, tall enough to defend bombs, strong enough to get the opposition in touch, didn't do that badly last time he played for England (even though the team did). Who would you pick? I'm unconvinced by Tom Briscoe's defence. Peter Fox might be a decent choice but he hasn't been scoring many tries. I'd have Leon Pryce there but he might be out for the rest of the season, and even if he isn't it would be a big risk to throw him into the England squad straight after a big neck injury.

The thing is, he seems to look the real deal for Warrington but when he's played for England he always looks really really average, whereas Crabtree doesn't look as good for Huddersfield but brings his A-game for England.

Good call on both counts. IMO Joel Tomkins is a better player than Ben Westwood (albeit I'm biased) and he had an excellent debut against France too.

I'd much prefer Joel to be picked but I just can't see it happening. I'd say they are similar quality players if I'm honest and have both been outstanding this season but with all the hype surrounding Westwood recently I wouldn't be surprised if he got in.

I'd give Briscoe a go. I'd play Atkins instead of Bridge as well. Bridge can't get a game for Wire at the minute. I know he's been injured but he'll struggle to reclaim his place the way King and Atkins have been playing

Yeah that's partly why I played Atkins too.

| Lets face it as much as we would like to see them in there is no way Gleeson & Fielden will be in they'll probably never play for England/GB again we are talking about a guy who selects Willie Manu after all at best we will have Sam, Lockers and at a stretch Joel though i won't hold my breath with Joel as i said we are talking about an England team coached by McNamara.

| 1 Sam Tomkins (i'd rather have him at 6 but not sure who else we could play at FB. Widdop is not ready for the 4 nations yet)
2 Tom Briscoe (Been impressed every time i've seen Hull, strong for his size too)
3 Bridge (As long as he regains his form before the end of the season)
4 Shenton (Good defender, improving in attack)
5 Hall (Big & Quick, good finisher and probably the best english winger at the moment)
6 Maguire (Didn't rate him as much more that a finisher untill the past year or so but there semms to be a lot more to his game now. Last chance saloon though as he has not peformed at international level yet)
7 Eastmond (No brainer as long as he is fit)
8 Morley (Captain)
9 Sinfield (Unfortunatly, Cant believe our best hooker is a loose forward)
10 Graham (No Brainer)
11 Sam Burgess (As Graham)
12 Ellis (As Graham)
13 O'loughlin (Best season for a long time)
As for the bench, the bigger the better plus replacement hooker
14 Roby
15 Scruton (not sure if fit though)
16 Crabtree
17 Westwood
Unlucky to miss out, Joel Tomkins, Jamie Langley, Paul Wood & Ben Harrisson.
I'd rather have Leon Pryce and Sam Tomkins switching between FB an SO if Pryce is fit.

I think people are sold on the fact that if he's getting a few games for Melbourne, then he is probably better than anything we have right now, despite most people never seeing him play
Which i'd go along with, retarded as it sounds

He is the only British fullback that has pace. Paul Wellens and Shaun Briscoe are too slow & are not good enough. Sam Tomkins is doing a sterling job for us at the moment at fullback, but we need him at six at international level because no other halfback is as strong in defence as him. Danny McGuire has had a good season, but is very average in defence for Leeds & is utterly atrocious for us at international level. He will just get ripped to pieces.
