Stupid decision to move it imo. It’s ruined what could have been an excellent days drinking which is one of the great draws of the derby games for me.

Yes to avoid the England World Cup game. Sky have Sunday games (starting with Bradford v Leeds 4:45pm this Sunday) for the next two months, mainly instead of Saturday games.

I've been saying for months it would move so I'm surprised its come as a surprise to some fans. The club said on the site that they "had anticipated a date change" so perhaps they should have made the Date TBC on there site to avoid confusion though.

I'd think it is highly likely they will be televising it. It's Wigan v Saints so one of their biggest audience pullers. Plus I don't expect they will have a game on SKY on the Friday (England play Algeria at 7:30 on Friday 18th in the World Cup) so that schedule slot will probably switch to Sunday to give them the usual two SL games.

I quite the the idea of SKY showing games on a Sunday rather than a Saturday. Never been a fan of the Saturday time slot. A lot more people tend to be in on a Sunday night as opposed to a Saturday night so may just boost Sky's audience to.
