I think we should all keep our expectations real and not hype too much pressure on MM.

If we expect to achieve exactly the same as this year then we wont be disappointed if the guy comes up with the goods.

I liked today how Shaun Wane said on sky things will change regarding what is expected from attitudes within the club. The guy is a born winner.

I would just like to see a more fitter, well coached, coherent side who can do the basics effectively and play some attractive rugby league.

All I expect next year is for us to play better rugby, more exciting rugby, to be excited for the next game as soon as the one before finishes. To actually want to go to matches instead of feeling like you have too because of loyalty/having a season ticket, which is how I and loads of other have felt this season. Simply i want to see a more consistant team in 2010. If we can get that im sure we will be in good place for silverwear.

BUT....we need to make signings, none more so than a prop forward.

If he can get the pack to perform at a consistant level the backs sort themselves out, as has been shown in more than one match this year

Agree, although not on the second part, i personally think we have a squad capable of silverware IF they play to the squads strengths, something we have not done since the days of Mike Greg.

A Prop I would expect to be in a final next year but even without I think we have a pretty good shot at a solid season and an outside bet at a trophy.

If we do not recruit for 2010, 2011 must deliver some top quality.

To put it into context he's refering to that being the goal of a coach at a big club, and that it's also MMag's own goal for himself. At the end of the day you've got to have it as a goal, you've got to beleive you can do it, or you never will.

Course it should be a goal for every club. Harlequins had it as their goal laughably. Unfortunately you have to have something to back it up with other than "we're a big club". We need a few more players yet before I'd be expecting any trophies.

I think we're closer than you think with the right performances from the current players.

I don't think we should be expecting any trophies as there are teams who are currently better than us, however I do expect us to try and be more consistant through the season and not leave it till a certain time of the year to suddenly start playing. I'm sure Maguire will have the players firing with his enthusiasm and Wane will be a big plus with his passion. I'm looking forward to next season already and think we will see alot more from our players as not one player will be able to relax and think his position is safe. Here's to an entertaining year in 2010

A fitter, leaner and hungrier Wigan team. More consistancy (especially at home). PLay-offs a must and a decent cup run.
We must give the current regieme at least this season to work with what we have got and then look to progress 2011 and onwards.
