I personally thought it was fine, swings and roundabouts for both sides.

From listening in, I thought he got 2 calls against us wrong all night.

OK, they led to a Stains try, but you can get that number wrong in 5 minutes from Silverwood/Alibert.

Ganson wasn't perfect, but he kept the game flowing and gave both sides the chance to play their game.

He was constantly talking to both teams, pointing out things that they were doing RIGHT (he is the only ref in the league to do this), and overall had a good game.

There is something very wrong in our game if he isn't named as the ref for OT.

Let's not forget completely missing this:

He was all brave as well, trying to hit Coley when he had his back turned, untill Feka told him to pack the ffffcker up.

lets also not forget that Richards knocked on that was missed and led to Wigans 1st. try you where never in it so stop winging!

I'll take your make believe knock on and raise you with Maurie phantom ball steal, which lead to Long grounding the ball on Feka's arm.

Ganson's the best we've got by a distance.
He should get the GF.
Also I think Ian Smith should get the VR gig. He's been good all season, best VR IMO.

Why wasn't the Richards try given as a penalty try?
When Richards kicked through Meli played the man and not the ball deliberately obstructing Richards in getting to the ball.
Penalty try perhaps with the conversion from between the posts.

It wasn't given as a penalty try because it was a try.

However, I did wonder why they were looking at it so much. Thought there was going to be an option for the 8 point try with Pryce kicking his legs out.

Richards blatantly knocked on for the Carmont try, do not think we can complain too much after that. We were always hanging on in my opinion, never really looked like winning despite a solid performance.

At last - someone who saw the game as it was. We all can be accused of wearing blinkers at times - it is passion for our team that does it. As most of you would say if Wigan had won its a case of swings and roundabouts. Somethings went your way and somethings went our way tonight but both teams played with some passion and there has to be a loser - tonight it had to be you.

You must have had a better view than the video ref to say that. looked like he missed it to me.
But I agree we can't complain to much..the better team won.

Can you explain why you have a different opinion to most people?

I didn't see the ball change direction, it seemed to me Richards PLANNED to miss the ball. Otherwise he wouldn't have had his arms so wide apart.

Yes he did, the ball changed flight. But at the end of the day, you win some you lose some, and the better team won.

No he didnt..and the better team won.

It would have been a superb performance had we not give the ball away too much. As you say solid performance but the best team won. I didnt think Ganson was too bad to be honest...
