We're getting a bit nervous down here that we won't get the coach we thought was in the bag so could you answer the following question.

I don't see Noble making us a dominant force for like 5 years.

I've voted yes to keep him and I never thought he should go.
We are going to look odd if we win the GF and then Noble announces he's off to Celtic walks out and we've no replacement.

It really is a very interesting debate and even more interesting to gather peoples opinions.

I can see the p.o.v from both parties. The pro-Noble brigade seems to be gathering pace and members and the anti-Noble brigade although not depleting, certainly are more quiet than previous months gone by.

Personally I think the coaching saga has gone on too long for BN to stay. IF we won the GF it could be possible I'd like to see another season with BN at Wigan, but that is one big IF.

It is a tough question but I'm going to vote No. I just think he's taken us as far as he can, for no other reason apart from that.

Whether we get there or not, It shouldn't alter IL's decision!

I think its too late for IL to change his mind now even if he wanted to.

For me, us winning the grand final this year would not be because of Noble but because the players have put their minds to it for the play-offs, we need a coach who can motivate us for the entire season, its why Wane is the guy for the job.

You won't be signing any players from Wigan if that's what you mean. Only Bailey is OOC but he will be here next year.

Wigan may win not because of Noble, but inspite of Noble, I hope to see hoe good they can be with someone else in charge.

I reckon next year you will realise the grass is not greener on the other side and will regret pushing one of Super League's top coaches out of your club.

I hope you're wrong but suspect you will be right and something I and a few others have said for a long time. I can't be bothered going into the details because quite frankly I have becmone bored of repeating myself. That other Noble thread on here is a perfect example. Tiresome. I don't why people can't just agree to disagree.

With regards next year, I have resigned to us losing Noble and him being replaced with a man with little or no experience of coaching first team rugby. It is a gamble that can go either way. only time will tell.

I was actually saying it was "spot on" that we may regret pushing out a Top SL coach and thinking automatically that the Grass will be Greener.
This is something the Anti Noble Brigade seem to think will definatley improve just because we have got rid of him, How do we know things will improve.

It doesn't mean we will automatically be more successfull! The complete opposite could be true and we could regret letting BN go.

Who's to say BN couldn't win us a number of trophies over the next 2/3 years?

One thing is for sure, if the new man does come in and wins things in some part he will have BN to Thanks for a lot of the groundwork he has doen in the last 3 years.

Something even Mr Cullen seemed to ackowledge last night on Boots n All when he said that he seems to think that "Something Special" is about to happen at the Wigan club.
It's not often I agree with him but the Green Shoots are quickly coming through.

Its a tough one for me, I go no though as i think BN although doing a fantastic job, has taken us as far as he can.

Also IL would look stupid if he went back on this, however if there is no-one better is he cutting his nose of to spite his face?

The biggest problem for me under noble is the fact that we only play well at the end of the season, doing enough in the weekly rounds to get by.

I do however realise that this is coming from a fans perspective, and that in an ideal world, we would perform each week.

I just think that sometimes you have to take risks.

But as I've said before, if IL gets this wrong I will willingly join in the chorus of disapproval.

His consistancy particulary in the earlier stages of the stages needs to be worked on, but are the any coaches that don't have flaws to their game?

Under Brian Noble this season, we have reached the Semi-Final of the Challenge Cup and have reached the playoff Semi-Finals with experts tipping us to make the final. With Noble being head coach of this club, our academy and reserve grades have both made their respective Grand Finals with one side winning and the other pending result.

We have ALL questioned his decision making this season and the majority have questioned his future at the club including myself, but can anybody really have done better the above given the tools that he has? If so, is the calibure of that coach available? I had a right to question whether he was the right coach for the club, but he is redeeming himself and I'm not too proud to admit that.
