| Going to get jumped on by many I guess, it's not because of todays performance at all this topic.
But as much as Feka puts in going forward, he lacks in defence and match time, is he seriously worth keeping? I'd expect the guy to be on a nice wage. Could be easily replaced i think.
Others would join a list of not having the winning gene within them, players like Richards, Prescott, Hansen, Bailey are people that don't look like winners to me. If I make sense. All don't seem to want to fight for it.
Just injecting four GB player to our squad could make a huge difference all four want to win bad. Myler, Briscoe, Burgess and LMS, not unrealistic players either, players we could sign I think, with the others gone.
If only
Briscoe
Roberts - just for shooter69
Gleeson
Carmont
Richards
S. Tomkins
Myler
LMS - 80minute man
Riddell
Fielden
Hock
O'Loughlin
Burgess - 80 minute man, moving to prop when Fielden goes off for Joel.
O'Carroll
Macca
Leuluai
J. Tomkins
The rest can go, but if only it was that easy 11 GB players tho, what a sight. I'd love to see IL plans for the future.

| No he's a bag of crap.
I've said it for 2 years now Wigan would be a decent team if they had 4 good props.
You've got none.
The backline isn't bad it's up front that lets you down.
Not that i'm bothered like, it's just plain to see and I thought Noble after his Bradford bully boy tactics would realise.

Feka is a strange player. Most definatly unique. If the team is winning then u can bring him on and he rolls over everyone. If the team is on the back foot, he isn't someone who can get us rolling agian. We don't actually have anyone who can do that.
As for your squad, I have two issues with it. I don't like the idea of an 80 minute prop, those days are gone, we need 4 tightly nit props who work well in two pairs so that we don't lost momentum when we swap. Burgess is awesome but not better than lockers at loose, which IMO is sams best position.
As for the born winners, Richards is the only guy who has won the NRL in our squad. Prescot, I haven't seen him in a winning team, so I have no idea how he will cope in the big games. We need someone who can put us on the fro t foot. A Morley, a peacock, a civonaciva (sp).

From a supporter of a team containing Fasa, i cannot take this comment seriously.

| Feka should of gone ages ago. Offers nothing 90% of the time, and occasional run the other 10%.
Get of him and Coley and bring in two hard working props.

| With the right coaching and correct training regime Feka would be an awesome impact forward, sadly he is getting neither at Wigan under the current mob.

Briscoe would not sign for you.
He extended his deal at Craven Park after being at the club for less then a season.
Has lived in Hull a good few years now and is settled both professionally and domesticly.
Playing for Rovers hasnt stopped him getting in the England team so i fail to see why you think he is a realistic signing.

My reasons would be
We have one of the best squad lists in the SL
We have great potential under the right coach (Mr Morgan)
I still remember his quote after being dropped for Rad's
-- "I'll be fighting for a place, and I can play centre or wing as well. I'm only young and to get so many first team games this season has been an unexpected bonus. I'll continue to train hard and play my best and see how things pan out. If things haven't worked out by the end of next year then I may have to think about going somewhere else, but it would really hurt me to have to leave my home town club." --
He'd love the opportunity to come back. Cherry and White is still within him, can't admit it of course playing for the red and whites

In that case when its announced that your signing him i will console myself with Jon Wilkin coming home to Craven Park.

Hard to disagree though, our front row is a real problem, and the weakest part of our team imho...
Feka is great to watch at times, but equally frustrating too... his workrate, play the ball speed and lateral movement/defence are areas that he really needs to work hard at...
However, wasn't there some fall out at the NZ Warriors over something similar?

| Best impact prop in the world (name a better one...) and one of the few players at Wigan who can make a difference. Smashed the opposition every time he has taken the field this year.
It's not Feka people need to be questioning, but the props around him...

I don't think our forwards did that badly. Our halfbacks were completely clueless. Time for one or both of Smith/Leuluai to be dropped.

Lulu is neither one thing nor the other.
A scrum half he will never be.
An hooker he is too small, especially with a lightweight pack like we have.

Move him to hooker and get a bigger pack. Bit like the NZ national team.

| Feka to me just needs a bit of managing. He always manages to make ground, but sometimes (as yesterday) there are no offloads, or there is no one to take the quick PTB following, to take advantage of the 3 or 4 defenders he can tie up.
so yesterday, for all his metreage, we never really gained any momentum from his runs. In fact, his most important contribution was as a dummy runner for the last try.
with a good coach, and people running up his to take advantage, then he is worth keeping. he can be a very valuable part of bigger picture, but that we need a coach with vision, respect and coaching ability.
i think we could prob have this same argument for about half a dozen players.

There is a big difference though, Maurie is our 4th prop who comes on for short bursts to make an impact after the starting forwards.
Feka is your No1 prop who you rely on heavily, yet he struggles to get half an hour in.
