Totally agree, the first noticeable contribution from Riddell tonight was when he forgot to pick the ball up at dummy half with 2 mins to go.
I've already mentioned on other threads how much of a difference I reckon Sam would have made against a defence that was out on its feet last 15 mins.

We're far too quick to build players up when they play well and knock them down when they have a bad game.

To be honest I don't think Riddell was that bad tonight, but definitely got outshone by McIlorum.

Sam last night looked like someone who needed a rest. I back Noble in that decision.

However, having now given him a rest, Sam must be brought back in next week and Riddell removed.

He is imo, 3rd choice hooker currently.

If we've come into the game on poor form fair enough but the rotation between Smith, Leuluai and Tomkins was working well for me and didn't need changing.

Was not happy to see Sam dropped but i think Sam got battered last week against wakie and think he needed the rest, think he could have been injured tonight out there, rough, tough game. Don't think the ground due to the weather would have suited sams footwork tonight.

I disagree I think the last 15 minutes were crying out for someone with Sams footwork to take on the defence and make the big guys slip all over the place. Had Sam been playing he would have scored in that last 15 for mine.
