| After now seeing both for at least a couple of games, which one do we see as a better prospect?
Eamon has impressed early this year and (rightfully) earned a starting place. Runs it in fast and is pretty solid in defence but I would like to see him be a bit more agressive. His injury has come at a bad time but I would rather in happen now earlish in the season than at the back end which should be(better be) play off time. Think his size could be an issue however.
Size is not a problem when it comes to Prescott. Hes a big lad and runs it in hard with a good second effort. Has come back well after quite a bad injury but I still worry that fitness could be an issue. We desperately need him to stay fit now with the injury to Eamon. I really think he can be a great player for us and a future lead by example kind of prop.
Really hope that we can keep hold of both of these two but if it came down to only being able to keep one I would keep Prescott providing he can stay injury free.
Thoughts?

Both are good prospects so I say keep them both!

| Both are good prospects and both could go on and have very good careers at Wigan but i would say both need to show that bit more aggression. If you look at somebody like Graham he's only young yet is a snarling, jeering, aggressive ginger git and he fires up the rest of his side. I think thats great in a prop and is porbably what sets him apart from somebody like Prescott as a young prop.
Prescott especially out of our 2 has all the tools to be a top quality prop but as i say a little more aggression wouldn't go a miss.

| Prescott is the better prospect and if he stays fit is going to be one of the top props in the league in a few years IMO
Eamon is also fantastic and will only get better
Let's not forget Ben Davies he is a really bright talent too
Mossop is also being touted as a prop
5 years down the line our 4 props could be Prescott, Eamon, Davies and Mossop

Terry O'Connor was one of the best SL props and he wasnt exactly steaming with aggresion, James Graham is all fur coat and no knickers, now Adrian Morley, there is a prop with aggression and I would love for him to have played for us.

I know what you mean with O'Connor but he didn't take any crap and led from the front. I suppose they're qualities that build in time and injuries haven't helped somebody like Prescotts cause.
I'm confident he'll be a real top draw prop in a year or 2. In O'Carrolls case it may take a couple of years longer but he's another i'm pretty confident will get there.

I really hope you said that because you hate saints and dont actually believe it. Graham is an outstanding young prop and yes he is aggressive.
Not all great props have to be snarling looneys though .. Fairleigh at Saints, O'Connor ,Civoneceva(SP), Perellini .. all had/have more controlled aggression (less visable). Morley is another top prop but his aggression in the past has gone way too far and cost his teams dearly (30 seconds sending off for GB for a start).

Deffo, both are real good prospects and will come good in time.
Prescott is the hard working prop we are looking for to make the yards and make the tackles without giving penalties away either, in two or three years he will be great. Player most like - Terry O'Connor.
O'Carroll is more of an impact prop, one to get stuck in and rough it up a bit, plays with passion even if he isnt the biggest prop going. Good go forward- Player most like - Barrie Mac / Neil Cowie.

Graham runs it in hard but is trying to be an enforcer which he isn't, like when he ran twenty yards just to pull faces at Palea'aesina, if he was an aggressive player he would have stuck one on Palea'aesina.
By the way every forward in the superleague has to play with aggression, Graham is a good player in his own right but he isn't an aggressive player.
Fielden in his day was, Morley is, Lolesi off Huddersfield is, Korkidas is, Barrie McDermott was, Kelvin Skerrett was. Graham isn't.

Your confusing aggression with a short fuse and in some cases a lack of brain cells. Modern players cant just go around smacking people like in the old days or they'd spends more time banned than playing. Some of the stuff players like Skerrett got away with would now result in massive bans (and Skerrett isnt even as rough as some of the proper old school props ala Jim Mills). Verbals are part of the game - running 20 yards to punch people is just stupidity these days.

| Prescott is two years older and two years first team development ahead of O'Carroll although because of his injuries the two have played a similar amount of games. I think Prescott needs a good run in the side now injury free.

Why run twenty yards then? Why not just go quiet and walk away and then he next time Palea'aesina got the ball smash him and give him a bit of a verbal instead of running in an pulling faces and calling him names?

| Prescott by a country bumkin.
Not keen on O Carroll, doesn't possess enough impact to be an impact prop, doesn't have the 60min fitness and is hardly an enforcer.
In the young props around SL I'd sooner have
-Sam Burgess
-Luke Burgess
-James Graham
-LMS
OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD.

After them there is no other young props better than O'Carroll.

| If a team is to be succesfull i do not think they can keep 2 developing Props happy, for this reason i doubt both will remain at Wigan but i do think both will have SL careers.
Personally i rate Prescott higher as he has the frame to make it on top of his talent, i think O'Carroll will always be an impact style prop but not a top class one in the mould of Feka for example and for this reason i do not see him being as valuable to Wigan as Prescott.

| Prescott beter than O'Barrel for me, but as a previous post said I don't see why we shouldn't keep both.
Wouldn't be upset if we brought McCarthy Scarsbrook in though

Big lad too. I was a bit aprehensive when people were saying sign him on here but I made a point of watching him and I wouldn't ming it if we did. Also Karl Temata did ok too, I slated him saying he was crap but he did well last night even thouigh he isnt the biggest.

In my opinion we should pull out all the stops to replace Fielden with LMS at the end of next year, and we should target Mason/Petro to replace Coley at the end of this season.

According to Lenaghan he's the fastest player at Quins. He ticks a lot of boxes, as Cullen's Satday afternoon Miss Powers would say.
