a crackin match this morning for anyone who missed it and an advert as to how superior the nrl is to super league. the intensity for 80 minutes was unbelievable and brisbane did'nt have any substitute props on the bench. the fitness of the forwards was unreal. to say its only there second week of the season is scary.

Caught the last 20 minutes it was like they had just kicked off. They were tearing into each other with such a level of intensity it was like watching a top Grand Final game in Super League.

exactly the point i was making. there fitness was unbelievable. it was like that for the full 80. no backup props for brisbane either. a joy to watch.

Thoroughly enjoyed the match; was a great hitout from both sides and could have gone either way.

Their fitness, with the 10 interchanges, is amazing as they were at full tilt all the time.

Watched the 2nd half and it looked a classic.

The players were literally out on their feet at the end.

It made me laugh when Thaiday got tackled with the ball on the last play of the game and instead of getting up just propped the ball under his head and used it as a pillow so he could have a lie down

I'm sure i read somewhere it's at the end of this season but i'm not sure he's what we need.

He's abit of an off the cuff type player when i feel we need a real enforcer type prop who just gets through the yards and tackles and just gets a solid job done.

Is it me or is Inglis looking far too heafty and his game is looking to have suffered because of it.

A decent game to watch, but a blatent knock on before the Bronco's last try, 2 refs and they still couldnt see that....

There schedules are often erratic and change at short notice but Aussie Rules seems to be on next Friday Morning.

Yeah he does look like he has put too much weight on, Im sure the commentators said something along the lines of him putting around 6kg on in the off season which is silly for somone like him who has got pace and skill to burn. He looked fat and lazy today. I would love us to sign Slater he is immense, I would pay him a million a year and play the academy side with him

Passed a late fitness test on knee and shoulder injuries and has put on 6kg during pre-season.

Indeed. This said, the Storm had 2 or 3 really good chances to win it at the end but they messed up a couple of plays.

Overall a top game.

Looked far too big up top for mine looked in shocking condition.

The whole point of the lads success was his athletic ability, looks to be carrying some bad weight and his legs look totally out of proportion to his slightly out of shape upper body.

Was personally shocked to see him in such condition.

Matty Johns are Ben Ikin were quick to label him as the 'fattest' stand-off of all time.

Me thinks it is muscle more than fat.

Strongly disagree, his upper body to leg ratio and muscle mass was shocking. The lad was carrying some real dead weight up top.

Changing to the other Setanta match - did anyone watch the Penrith v Bulldogs match?

A good match with some controversy towards the end, when it was discovered that the dogs had 14 players on the pitch and in the line when they scored the winning try

Where do you watch NRL online? Although a huge fan of watching stuff online due to the poorer quality picture.

Think I might be giving Setanta a ring in the morning to cancel my subscription. Just not worth the money for one game a week.
