| People can say what they like about these two but previous owners wouldn't have sat around like this trying to run the club as a business and trying to save money on paying noble off. He would've been out the door and we'd be back on track in a week or two.
I think lenagan is going to worry to much about cost and will sack noble when the opportunity to get anywhere near silverware has gone

| One question:
What did sacking all those coaches actually achieve?

| I know one thing love him or loathe him, the following would not have happend under Mo
1. Moving the playoff game!
2. Not replacing Barrett
3. Noble turning up for work monday morning!
Yes sacking coaches for very little reason is not a good idea, however the first sign of madness, is to continue to do the same thing and expect different results!
Lets face it, its been one cock up after another under IL so far, bar mick hogan the club is terrible!

| Id give Noble untill the end of the season and in this season I would expect him to take a chance and play Tomkins at 6 with Smith at 7, McIllorum starting 9 with Leuluai on bench, Riddell hasnt impressed me yet,I watched him for Parra last year and he looks a lazy player.

| For Christ's sake, look.
We've lost our opening 3 games. It really is ONLY three games, and those games have been lost by 6, 8 and 6 points respectively.
If we'd been thrashed, and we were more games in, then yes. But not now.

For Christ's sake, think.
We've been beaten twice on our own turf by teams tipped to be in the bottom 6 this year; one of which barely managed to put together a first team. This is simply crap.
On paper our team is top 4; however, it's not coming together, it's not linking. Our style of rugby is pi$$ poor and predictable. Our next 3 games are Quins, Bratfort and Leeds; what's going to happen to us there if we carry on as is? 1 from 6 if lucky, possibly, 0 from 6.
Stability has come to the club and presented us with a decent team playing unimaginative, boring rugby.
We have no relegation, I say get shot of Noble, replace him with a Lam / Wane / Waite / Hanley and see where that takes us.

Maybe you could nip in for Tony Smith before Warrington sign him up to replace Lowes?

If you lose next week though, you can probably say goodbye to a top 2 finish.
Wigan with more or less a full strength team should be beating Wakefield and Castleford at home.
I said the same thing last season, who is your team leader, since Noble arrived on the scene you never had one. This means there is a risk of one man rugby and no one (a la Farrell) to stand up and get the team going.

And as much as it hurts seeing our squad underperform the last thing I want is for Noble to be sacked right now, give him more than 3 games we have had big changes in key positions give them time to settle then start judging.

Wigan had four players missing last night.
Bailey and Richards were really missed.

| As a neutral, and certainly those who know me and my views, know I'm no lover of Noble, but it seems as if the main thing missing from your squad is a decent goal kicker. Nobles mistake is trying to turn a previously skilful dynamic team into a second Bradford. He seems to be convinced that only big, tough, knock 'em down and roll 'em over players will come good for him and results. Sorry, but I am not a lover of this type of rl and I pays my money to see fast, skilful moves ....the sort we neutrals expected to see under your previous coaches. I would not, however, get rid of Noble just yet. Hopefully, someone higher up in the pecking order will show him some old vids of the way Wigan fans like their rl and you'll get back into promoting a lot more of your youth. I'm, sure if BN took a look round a few of the young amateur sides available to Wigan and had a bit of faith in today's youngsters, SL would see a bit more of the old Wigan. eg Wigan St Pats and others ........grannyfan Cindy HFC

Eight players who came through the academy were in last nights team.
How many were in Hulls last week?

Having four players missing is a poor excuse. Warrington had Gleeson,Clarke, Anderson,Reardon and Grix missing from the Saints match. We were beaten by the better team , fair play. With Wigan being the biggest club in Rugby League , with a great youth system these players should not be missed.

We are promoting youth yet we keep hearing about Saints are theirs? Roby and Graham in the last ten years? I reckon within the next 3 years we could have an entire team of academy produced players with 3 shipped in superstars. We wasting money on players like Bailey, Phelps, Coley when we have young lads in Tomkins, Ainscough and Prescott who can do the same job if not better and will show more pride and passion in the shirt!

It wasn't used as an excuse it was in reply to a post saying that Wigan were at full strength.

We traid the coach that took Saints to glory, didn't work. We tried the coach that brung Bratford glory, isn't working. Really think trying the coach that made Leeds a formidable side going to work???

| Whelans the reason you're in this mess in the 1st place. He had the club sown up so tightly leneghan has spent all his time having to sort out the ground, a new sponsor and a new kit manufacturer as big dave spat his dummy.

I agree. People take the mick about Bailey, saying he should be more spectacular than he is.
Teams NEED their solid players though, and people like him tend not to be 'noticed' as such when they're playing, but really missed when they're not there.
Oh and Richards needs to be full back. We've no one else good enough, and in any case, Richards is wasted on the wing.

Didnt bailey play agianst wakefield and hull?? Or was it someone else being run round by pretty much everyone!
We defended well up the middle last night just gash down the sides! Bailey tackling in the middle of the park wont change tim smith playing patsie with the runner!

Had Richards played then no Ainscough...Richards would never have scored that try..and it's not "certain" he would have kicked the goals.
