If phelps is out on Friday the surley pryce should play.

All the talk is to bring Pyce back slowly however if it is true as we are lead to believe that he was fit for the last 8 weeks of last season then after an extended pre season he should play.

If he isnt up to the standard then he should be put in to the reserves or even released.

Will be months before we see him, fitness and match fitness are two totally different things.

IMO he shouldnt play til the reserve team season starts and he play and proves that he has the match fitness for the first team.

What makes his match fitness any different from that of any other player who has just done a pre season. He is either up to super lague standard or he isnt.

I undertsand about the injury etc but he has been over the injury for some time and has taken part in 3 pre season games and a full off season training.

id play ainscough, as a few others have said. the lad looks like he could be a bit special. reminds me a bit of henderson gill when he sets off. impressed me in the warrington game.

Unfortunately, I seem to remember him impressing pre-season last year too, but still couldn't make a break into an under-performing team early doors. If these lads aren't given a chance, then they'll look at moving elsewhere themselves - why wouldn't they?

His match fitness isn't up to scratch yet. When he is ready he will be a handful.

I think what you've got to realise is that he was still at U18 level last season.

He has plenty time on his side.

I think we all hope KP regains full fitness because he is one hell of a player when fit but unfortunately it looks unlikely and it is going to take a good while before we found out if he can get back to his best

It has to be Ainscough for me, he easily out played Pryce in the Warrington friendly and that was Pryce's best performance of the pre season!

Rogues - Appreciate that Ainscough's only young but can you grade out of 10 both him and Pryce on the following criteria based on your knowledge of the both:

Acceleration
Speed
Step
Tackling
Positional play
Fitness
Attitude/Morale

The above would quickly suggest who should start if Phelps is out next week.

Exactly, we need to give Pryce time and patience. We're too quick to jump on the "he's no good" bandwagon. Give Pryce time, he'll come good.

Mine would be Richards, Roberts, Goulding, Carmont, Ainscough.
