With sam joel and lockers missing it will be very interesting seeing the team to face wakefield. However, I wouldn't be suprised if Sam backed up and played with the game being in leigh.

Makes a bit of a mockery of the fixture list when some players have to miss a game and some don't, but then Magic Weekend doesn't help either!

Big boost for Wigan if they can get those 3 on the pitch, especially since Leeds, Saints and Wire look up against it.

As I said on the Saints board, I can't understand why they didn't switch the game to Sunday, unless of course they preferred the two extra days preparation for the Wigan game.

Has anybody switched their games? Don't you need to have 4 players on duty to move a fixture anyway?

I know we sell more corporate boxes after work on Fridays than we can on a Sunday - no doubt they will be paid up and booked in and we will have obligations to fulfil.

Wigan played their game with Cas this Sunday when we normally play on Friday. I'm sure Saints would have expected to have players playing for England, and the France game has been known about for a long time

I know Wire were originally due to play on Sunday, but Sky switched the fixture for them.

The reality is that the England v France game should have been scheduled for Friday and all other games played on Sunday.

It depends how all three pull up from the game. If Joel is spelled from the bench, which I expect him to be, then I think he will play and I think Madge will be more willing to risk Sam than lockers. We can cover for Lockers, but we're short of halfbacks.

Roberts will not be back for a few more weeks.

If Sam doesn't play we could end up seeing Gleeson at 6 with Stefan Marsh coming in at centre. Not really sure what other options we have at 6 if Phelps is still crocked.

I wouldn't play the 3 lads personally, Wakey away is always a tough one and I think we would be better off with 17 men at 100%.

From what Madge said on GMR though all 3 will play.

Tuson is in great form and Lockers has been playing 80 minutes at loose week in, week out so I'd give him a rest.

That starting pack would get eaten alive. look what happened yesterday when Tuson, Farrell and Prescott were on the field together.

Madge seems to really rate Stuart Howarth. He looked alright in the pre-season games. I think he's on dual loan somewhere too so he's getting some game time. He's another option I think Madge would look at.

Realistically though if anyone is going to be backing up it's Sam Tomkins. With Deacon injured and a lack of other options he's the player I would want in the side. Lockers should probably be rested and Joel Tomkins might be able to play from the bench because he will only come on from the bench against France.

Yeah but wasn't Tuson at prop at the time? Prescott and Coley should be well capable of laying down the foundations, I agree the back row is fairly weak but I'm not sure a very tired Sean O'Loughlin would improve it.

80 mins against the French will probably be less strenuous than an average training session.
