If Rugby League players can get sponsored by the likes of Nike for playing Rugby League with it not counting on the salary cap it will go a long way to helping us retain players in Rugby League. It will also help publicise Rugby League far more than faffing about in a one off game for RU because he is being sponsored as a Rugby League player.

That is why I'm surprised that the RFL are not making the most of EMirates. I had the opportunity to be treat to watch Wigan v Leeds by the people of Emirates, and they said that they advertise in most stadiums in the north to try and promote flights to Dubai and other connecting flights from the north. I thought he was bigging himself up but when I watch a RL match on the TV and some football they are on the advertising boards. May be this could be both the RFL and Emirates missing an opportunity to help both parties. (if any body from the RFL reads this want the contact details pm and I can give them you)

The Executive Vice Chairman of Emirates is a Leyther. When they were in SL, the stand roof at Hilton Park had the Emirates logo. Would be great to have them more involved in the game.

can i just say emirates is a massive company with alot of different sectors so your contact info might no be the right guy for sports sponsors and advertising. I Met the CCO of emirates lesiure UAE a few months ago at one of their restaurants and hopefully will be collecting some dubai sevens tickets of him fingers crossed

. But they are the best people to sponsor superleague no doubt about it.

They have just placed a massive order of planes (11.2bn) last week at the dubai air show so they need to increase their customer base and it shows his "highness sheikh ahmed bin saeed al-maktoum" is out to spend some money. The RFL would be stupid not have a stab at it also etihad as they have alot of flights from manchester.
