I didnt think McIllorams tackle was that bad personally at the time. Not seen it since so could be wrong. The high shot on Feka was a boomer but again i didnt think that was more than a clumsy high shot.

Didnt think either of them were too bad, Westwoods against Catalans however was a shocker.

E shudda got another 5 games for his reaction after e did it as well

McIlorum's tackle was nothing serious, but he looked agressive afterwards. If he didn't have prior he'd have a letter.

For anyone interested it was a point of the elbow straight into the jaw - no excuse it was a blatant attack no even an attempted tackle. Many of the other tackles mentioned could be viewed as high shots but possible attempted tackles rather than a deliberate attempt to tack out a player.

No there was another one that showed the "attack".

Hepworth has both feet off the floor and the point of the elbow is in Tyrer jaw / cheekbone.

The ball is nowhere in sight, and the force of the attack lifted Tyrer off the ground.

Had that been done outside on the street it would have been a custodial sentence.

Correct, and as you have said before the following year the first sending off in a CC final happened, one year too late for my money.

One that sticks in my mind, because of the sad circumstances in the weeks leading up to the game was Paul johnsons high shot on Jamie thackray at castleford 2003 . Steve Ganson sent him off , i seem to remember ganson saying it was the most difficult decision he'd had to make.
