Think Bilko's laptop is out of order...

Bilko should make the sites a subscription service only if its costing too much to run them.

I doubt that the site is running on the laptop, it will be hosted somewhere, presumably on the same server farm as rlfans runs from, so I'm not sure why Bilko's lack of laptop would cause the site to go down. I can understand that it would hamper his ability to do updates though. Local library perhaps?

He does have a life without going to the library and it costs money to host sites

I have a spare laptop not being used if he wants the loan of it until the end of the season,as long as I dont get it back with those creapy crawley bug things running on it and through it.

I got it for an evening class at tech for Photoshop,the class fell through because of lack of bodies.

Dunno why I didn't think of that. Quick half hour trip I could have the match preview, match report, under 20s summary, under 18s summary, under 16s summary, under 15s summary, tv listings page, fixtures page, results page, stats centre page, career stats page, team list page, under 20s team page, under 18s team page, under 16s team page, under 15s team page all updated pretty quickly.

......and that's only half the effort. I don't get paid for all that you know. It's been my choice for 11 years, I know that but I think to do it all for no return is reaching its end point! For the record I should be back online for after the cup break but beyond this season I dunno. And writing on a mobile is a pain in the !

Ps I appreciate the loans of laptops, thank you, but the one I have is coming back. Plus I'll be honest my life has changed recently, time is more precious and I've not had an motivation to get back online. I'm not in any rush. I don't get paid for it so.....

Its about time the club itself found some kind of role for Bilko,the amount of information he puts out on all things Wigan RL is a thousand times more than they themselves issue.

I do hope Bilko, that should you decide to stop adding to the site that it will at least always be available to view. It would be such a shame if all the information you've amassed and categorized over the years were suddenly to be never seen again.

Totally agree, the club should find a role for someone with such immense knowledge of the club, maybe a column in the programme and website too (if bilko would want to of course!!)

The vast amount of statistical data on that site is quite an achievement.

Its more than just some stato on his laptop, Bilko is almost a club historian.

I cant think of a reason why it should not be rewarded by the club (as long as it does not count on the cap.....

How's about Wish FM, who mentioned Bilko in Monday's commentary, adding some sponsorship?

Thank you for what you have done. I can fully understand how things can change, but what nobody will ever do with you is be critical of what you have contributed not just to the Wigan site but to Rugby League. This is far more than what the well paid people are doing.

It is obvious that you LOVE the game and everybody on this site if you decide to pack in should be eternally grateful and wish you every happiness in the future, you deserve this as what you have done is for the love of Wigan.

Bilko must surely be a Hall of Fame fan Legend. Never met the man, but I wait all week for his previews, reports and information on where to listen to the matches if I cant get there.

Cherryandwhite is Bilko's site, he has already stated he doesn't have the drive or desire to update it as often as he did in the past, and his laptop breaking was just the icing on the cake. What Bilko does on here takes a hell of a lot of time and effort, and could not be done in 45 minutes at the local library.

Well is because I'd rather do that then let it fester incomplete. Wasn't expecting to be offline for what is now 18 days but that's the way it is. Had I left it up the tv page for example would still be telling you what was on two weeks ago!
