I’ve never met Gilly but I believe that he is a real gent and quite a funny guy.

I agree, when we played Saints in the Challenge Cup Semi at Wire in 2011 Gilly and his lad walked the whole width of the pitch at the end of the match dressed with cherry and white scarves. His dancing and waving to the Wigan fans will go down in history. Not only a character but an incredible player back in the mid-late eighties.
