Personally I've had enough of the club digging into its own history for coaching staff. Like IL, I was there for the glory days but it's time to move forward. What I want is the best coach for the job and whether they've had a previous relationship with the club is neither here nor there. While the chairman has earned his reputation as a successful businessman, there's sometimes a fan-boy aspect to his decision-making that surprises me - this whole Edwards saga was really driven by a sentimental desire to bring a legend back to the club.

He's not that old!



But he comfortably outshone Matty Smith today, that's for sure.

Sammut was superb today to be fair. He took us around the park really well and his defence was bang on. I also thought Sarginson had his best game for us in years.

Was in top 3 last week, fantastic again today and been very good all season.
Been slagged off and as usual people would rather run a player down just to back up their opinion than admit their wrong.

I’d never understood the stick Sarginson gets. A couple of defensive lapses aside he’s had a really good season so far. He a workaholic and takes pressure off his forwards and we can use him in a few positions.

Our one to five looks fine for this year and beyond, so it’s important we now work to try and get the ins and outs sorted in the areas we need.

I’ve called him in the past but this year he’s been superb, the Saints missed tackle aside.
