Just read something really odd in the disciplinary report:
Quote ="RFL Disciplinary Panel"
Player appears and is accompanied by Head Coach Craig Sandercock.
Player pleads guilty to careless contact with the opponents head. Player plays hard but fair.
Was high contact with opponents head but argues careless contact rather than reckless.
Initial contact was shoulder to shoulder and then it bounced up off the shoulder to the opponents head.
The player had to make the tackle and accepts his technique was poor on this occasion.
Plays the game hard but does not go out to intentionally injure an opponent.
*** No adverse reaction from opponents ***
Coaching staff are working on his technique.
Player apologised to opponent and has shown remorse for the injury sustained.'"
So does this mean that if our players had kicked off with Paterson, this would have made it a more serious offense?
Bloody stupid to allude to, if you ask me.
Glad he held his hands up though.
