| I was concerned in pre season with Wanes 'tough' approach and i was worried when he said we hadn't peaked yet, even though we smashed Leeds at headingley and saints at the ethiad Hopefully we will pick up the pace again, but it will be tough when wane wants us to go full throttle every week.

| Sorry to all, my mistake the bank holiday is included in your statutory right rather than actually being the day off on that day.

It's not a "statutory right". See the government's official page: www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/ ... /DG_073741
Quote You don't have an automatic right to paid leave on bank and public holidays, though many people receive the day off work. Any right to time off or extra pay for working on a bank holiday depends on the terms of your contract of employment.'"
and also here: www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/ ... G_10029788
Quote You do not have a statutory right to paid leave on bank and public holidays. If your employer gives paid leave on a bank or public holiday, this can count towards your minimum holiday entitlement. There are eight permanent bank and public holidays in England and Wales (nine in Scotland and ten in Northern Ireland).
If you work on a bank or public holiday, there is no automatic right to an enhanced pay rate. What you get paid depends on your contract of employment.'"

| I think you are getting mixed up in the right to leave, and the right to 'paid leave'. There is a difference.

| Not sure who you are replying to there, TheSurgeon?
I was responding to claims that bank holidays were a statutory right to holidays (either paid or unpaid). The official government and therefore legal line is that there is no statutory right to paid or unpaid leave and that it is all down to your terms of employment, as defined by your personal contract. This is clearly on an individual basis - there is no "statutory" (i.e defined by statute, or "legally"icon_wink.gif right either way.
There's not even a "right to leave" defined legally as a general issue - it's all down to your personal contract of employment.

| After today it seems like they are mentally "exhausted" or just not switched on for the full 80, really disappointed at the current standard of play considering it's at the business end of the season and going back a few months we was the hottest team in the competition for a long period of time.
