Lucky enough saints have kept their good young halfbacks and brought in experience to help bring them along.

I just think it's a huge ask for two young halves to dirt and create for a top super league club.

IMO we've done the correct thing by brining in a experienced player to play halfback but if lance is the correct player only time will tell.

The McManus one was diabolical.

They wouldn't in Aus if the kids concerned were good enough, but it's a moot point.

I just think it was a funny line you came out with. One that ANY fan could use ANY time his club is accused of signing over the hill Aussies. They're not here to replace anyone, they're here to help.

He's not over the hill tho mate. He's 28 and just played in the NRL grand final. He's current kiwi international and he's coming to play in a postion we need experience.

Like I said, lance brings a healthy comp for places.

However, the length of contract he's signed does worry me.
