does anyone know the name of the northern soul song played after full time when stadium is emptying been played last couple of home games

They used to play that record 'Long after tonight (is all over) by Jimmy Radcliffe at Manchesters Pendulum club near Victoria station in 1971,as their last record of the night, before Wigan Casino opened up as a Northern soul venue.

and it was taken there from The Twisted Wheel soul club nr. Picadillay station, which played it up until 1971.

Believe it or not it was often played as the last record at 2.00.AM at Wigan Casino around1971/72, well before the All-Nighters started.

I knew it was a mistake posting that pic...

I only went to The Wheel twice in 1970 and never heard it there, but you could well be right.
