Got it pre-ordered. Its not got great reviews in australia, lacking in many features from the wii game but does have online play. Gotta buy it to convince them its worth making another....unless its absolutely awful and it makes them think we'll buy anything. Bit of a dilemma really.
Been looking at a lot of videos on youtube and it doesn't look great tbh, infact it doesnt look much different from the last rl game on the ps2 in all honesty. maybe just slightly better graphics and online play. I'll still buy it as its the only rugby league game available though. which is probably the reason for it not being the greatest game in the world..... because us rugby league fans will buy it regardless....
I got the chance to play a few games of this a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was good fun. There are some flaws but if u get past them it really is the best RL game in years.
Leon Pryce is white in the game and things like that, but if u can get past that and just enjoy the rugby experience, there is plenty of fun to be had.
My mate imported it from NZ and with it being the PAL version it runs fine. The online was really smooth too which can only be a good thing
Don't waste your money on it guys. I bought it from New Zealand around a month ago and whilst at first it seems quite a fun game, it soon becomes rather tedious and flawed.
The game lacks in features, gameplay is slow and either massively favours the user on easy or the AI on medium, animations are dreadful and whilst the stadiums look good the graphics are a joke visually for a Next-Gen game. If you have Rugby League 2 then think of this as being more like Rugby League 2.5 but if you have Rugby League 3 for the Wii than I recommend you give this game a miss.
I appreciate that the companies involved are small and have limited budgets but when you have Jarryd Hayne being chased down by Sam Thaiday or see James Graham ease away from Amos Roberts or when the difference in difficulty levels is either 72-0 on easy to 4-1 on medium then the game is just daft!
