Its also good for the corporate side of things as well.
Would do the club no harm having guest speakers at each home game next season.
I used to work with a guy called Tommy Booth (played for Man City in the 70's), Tommy had his own job during the week but every other Saturday City would pay him a couple of hundred quid, as much ale as he wanted, a 3 course meal and an exec seat for the match - all he had to do was mingle with the fans, tell stories for a few hours before and after the game....etc.
The fans lapped it up and he loved it!! He used to say how lucky he was getting paid, fed and watered to watch the match on Saturdays!!!
