Quote ="St pete"Listen, I'm not having ago at Wigan as I've already said on many times. If Wigan can get away with it then good on them, I've nothing against Wigan using them tactics.
However, it's the refs that should be sorting the mess of the play the ball, it's obvious MM has brought this with him and good on him as it's working.'"
And still the myth continues that we are 'messing up the play the ball'. Get your stop watch out, we are no more holding down than any other team in SL. What you're upset at is that we don't just instantly put the guy down during the collision, and actually other teams don't either (just some are less good at it). How would you actually change this though, because the player isn't actually tackled at this point?
I'm serious, how do you change the game to prevent what you perceive as a problem? Make it so the player is tackled as soon as contact is made?
If we're laying on/messing around after the player is tackled, we get penalised for it just the same as every other team (arguably with even less tolerance given than some).
If the guy isn't tackled, then coach your bloody players to go down as easily as possible..... oh hang on, this is exactly what you were doing to gain your rapid play the balls in the first place. As a few people have said, come up with a tactic that prevents us from stopping you hitting the deck like a wet lettuce in every tackle.
