| We are approaching the point where we cant afford to lose anymore league games if we want to be in a position to mix things up at the business end of the year.
The cup clearly is our best chance of success however.

| We have to win the next 4 games imo if we stand a chance of getting into that top 4 positions(3rd or 4th basically) and obviously into the semi final of the cup.
Don't get me wrong even with wins in those 3 league games we may be struggling for top 4 but you never know and we just have to start building some momentum.
Biggest game of the season so far tonight imo.

| The worst thing about all this is that I've got to the stage where I'm not hugely bothered.
We need a more forward-thinking coach. I'm not saying Noble should be sacked (certainly not without a replacement lined up) - I think he's done a few good things that he does't get credit for. But he's proved that he's not the man to take us up to the next level, and, as his term ends at the close of this season anyway, that should be it. It [ushould[/u be, but you never know. Therefore, the more games we lose, the less likely it is that the club will do something crazy like offer him another contract.
Or is that being too cynical?
I still want Wigan to win every match they play, but at present we're just fighting fires. We need someone who can win wars.

| Wire away tonight will be a difficult game, always has been regardless of position in table, form etc.
However, if we don't win the three following that then Nobby deserves the boot.
I for one never thought that Celtic Away would be described as a "Must Win".

| I've not a clue how anybody can predict/access the next four weeks.
We're too inconsistant to have any say what so ever, and that's one of the most fustrating thing about the club at the moment.
If you're consistantly winning, great stuff. You look to maintain what you're doing and tweak performances.
If you're consistantly losing, you look at areas where you think you can improve and make changes.
With us, we'll perform ok one week then play abysmal the next with the same squad and the same tactics. We're simply consistantly inconsistant and it's hard to predict ANY game at the moment. It's really hard to build up enthusiasm when you don't know where you stand.
