| Some good points as always there my friend.
Ok, so Smith hasn't scored many tries in his career but how many has he made? The guy is a playmaker. The people around him are the ones who score the tries (4 I think he made Sunday). If you're behind a beaten pack like ours you could be Wally Lewis and you'd look crap. (maybe not Wally, but you get my point)
Smith's defence is always going to a problem, but it always was in the NRL. Keep him defending outside Gleeson as he did on Sunday and he'll be fine (ala Long at Saints). The forwards do the work and Tim will produce.

| I agree with Conroy, Smith's a different type of player to Sam and if given time together would be my preferred combo in the halfs with Tommy at hooker. They don't throw Dally M awards at rubbish so he's obvously got some natural talent but atm Noble isn't finding how best to draw it out of him. IMO off the bench he will offer little, but needs to start at 7 where he can control the game with Sam or Tommy at six playing the running half back role.
