The Stoop is a great venue, very easy to get to (M3 on door step). Parking is extremely easy and plenty of it. Station quite close. Why keep moaning about the Stoop? Is there a wrong side of the M25? Depends where you live, two of us in Crowthorne, 2 in Oxford and 2 in Wallington so we all travel by car to get there, easy.
Why on earth annoy the quite happy Stoop goers to move to East London?
Or am I totally missing the point?'"
I agree that the Stoop is an ideal venue in most respects, but we cant afford to just be tenants and paying masses of rent. We need a partnership with someone or our own stadium. If that means moving to Leyton (or anywhere else inside the M25) that's fine by me.

The rent we pay could actually be a whole lot cheaper than funding our own (or shared ownerships of) ground.

...so we should have renamed Polski Broncos then should we? ....what the club need to do is invite the neigbours in first before targeting the Jam Rolls.
London is one of the most diverse cities on the planet...to attempt to market yourself to one particular ethnic group takes input from wealthy backers from the "home country" and a steady flow of players arriving in London who already know how to play the game......see London Irish, Scottish, Welsh et al as examples..........
....1 player at Skolars is hardly the basis of a marketing strategy........

Whoa, I never said it should be part of a marketing strategy, but just to point out that any minority in London be it Albanian or Polish, can produce RL talent. I am in favour of spreading the net as wide as possible.

The net needs to be spread a lot closer to home to start with......I would rather the club got 50 new regular fans from the TW2 postcode than 150 curious Poles....

it was only an idea after someone mentioned moving to shepherds bush, where there is a significant polish community (look it up). of course there would be little point while at twickenham, thank you for stating the obvious

Not sure what the rent is at the Stoop but am sure it isn't peanuts. Anyway the main problem with the Stoop is the area in terms of fanbase. Most London RL fans do NOT live within a radius of a couple of miles, and in addition people that do live within the 2 mile radius are staunch RU fans or probably hate rugby full stop due to the events at Twickers. Local people are bread and butter and we've no chance of making this breakthrough at the Stoop. Its also difficult to get to from outside the 2 mile radius unless you live on the loop line or the main line (again usually staunch RU areas)
East London is worth a try because I think we could get local people living near a ground to be interested

| London has only 1 rugby union club, 1 rugby league club and two cricket clubs, there is no magic area that a non football sport will suddenly become the next big thing. We should accept the Stoop as our current home for now and look at the possibility of playing elsewhere, not just abandon SW London as a playing base because there is an area that matches our sports working class routes.
Look, but don't forget that we have a home and that we, if it is our decision, should only trade up, and after long consideration, not just because it could be good for the club. Better the devil you know, but only as a short-term strategy (is there any other at the London club?)

| We are never all going to agree on this subject and however much we think this and that what is Best, it is not down down to us! if they do not come through the gates in bigger numbers this season then it is not working at The Stoop and that is Fact, but we have to wait and see, but there has to be consideration about costs and as I keep saying lack of facilities for revenue raising during the week and off season! I do not see The Stoop as our home it where we are tenants!
I feel for Salford though, this week I hear just to cover rent on the new stadium they need 8,000 through the gate each week, football these days does not really make money and no way does Rugby League, without Sky we would be in a mess.

| take the bronco's to east london and you will have the same fans as you do at the stoop!!!
take the bronco's to north london and you will have the same fans as you do at the stoop!!!!
we are back to being the LONDON bronco's where is the fan base from? well I certainly aint from London neither is Devizes Jeff, I know daft dad and his lot from Medway still not london
So move it east and you hack off those that live in the west, take it north and hack off those that come from the south
When we were at Brentford I wonder how many Brentford residents bothered! I suspect very few
Are all the skolars fans locals? i suspect not
Fortunatly or unfortunatly we have a massive catchment area, we have to face facts going to Chartlton/watford/leyton/ etc etc etc is never going to convert the locals of that area in to RL fans
What we need to do wherever our home is, is make sure its financially viable, make it an enjoyable experience for home and away fans, be accesable with parking and public transport and most importantly a team thats competative!!!
all the whinges about the stoop we will find the same complaints with any other ground, personally, suits me for where I live! I always drive but can always find parking, the stadium cannot really be faulted now we have got all the stands open, bar is ok, we have corporate facilities available which are used now and again
Idealy, we would have our own stadium, but i can never see that happening certainly not a new build so we have to share/rent, the stoop is the best we have had in many a year if you compaire to Charlton/brentford

This is LONDON Broncos, not Leigh Broncos nor Twickenham Broncos nor even Richmond Broncos. I live 95 miles from The Stoop and don't find it at all difficult to get to, nor did the 80,000-odd who saw fit to attend RU's "Big Game" across the road over Christmas. Do you think they all live on the loop line or "main line" whatever that is?

| I have always said that if The Stoop was built on top of a Tube Station, some would still find fault with it.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Stoop from Twickenham Station......it takes the same amount of time to get to the Big House across the road. It took about 5 minutes to walk from Brentford Station to Griffin Park........
The Stoop has 2 bars (if required) as well as beer selling vans (if required)...Griffin Park had Stripes which was members only.....so after the game, most would head to the Griffin or drift away......
The Stoop has an after match party for everyone with Bands......Ralph and Sue in The Griffin were sad to see the Broncos leave as we drank more heavily than soccer fans and generally behaved ourselves.....
The Stoop has a decently stocked club shop.......we used to have Gio
The Stoop has a 20 foot walkway under the east stand......at Griffin Park we spent 2 months on the road when they wanted to re-seed.......
The number of toilets at the Stoop mean that you can empty your bladder and then buy supplies to re-fill it all in the half time period......as against standing in line for 15 minutes at Griffin Park and then discovering they'd sold out of VB and ...er.......VB!
As I say, London Underground could spend money on a direct tube line from the Central, Piccadilly & Northern lines to the Stoop and there would still be some on here who would complain.....
