I always thought RL fans had a bit more class. Away supporters paying to get in represents a significant revenue stream for the club. Instead we get a load of cheapskates from Castleford freeloading on an offer that clearly isn't intended for them. Would you be condoning this behaviour if Castleford's away following was larger and claimed the majority of tickets, leaving potential new supporters without tickets?

I know where you're coming from but are the details of away speccies worth anything?
If they have details for away fans then they can hit those once a year to maximise profits surely?

My dad's a Cas fan and was born in County Durham
My daughter's a Cas fan and she was born in Worcestershire
Feisal Nahaboo's a Cas fan and from the South East (I think!)

I'd be delighted to welcome any away fan to the Stoop. On the rare occasions that I get to go to away fixtures, I have always felt welcomed. Granted RL is a business but getting away fans in adds to the atmosphere that will encourage new supporters to return.

Rugby League is not just about the sport but the ties you make with your fellow supporters from other clubs. And a bit of a sing song...

I have two ES comp tickets for Friday that I won't be able to use (work deadline) if anyone wants to take extra people.

Isn't that the arguement that "The Flat Earth Society" use when we pitch up at their Gaff in our Taxi/Minibus instead of our thousands??

I for one wouldn't have been able to afford to go on Friday. (minimum wage, currently on short term working and travel costs from Northampton).

But now I have my tickets so I'll be able to cheer on the lads from the South Stand, have a beer, make a small donation to the Hopson Memorial Fund for their beneficeries and watch 2 games of RL cutosey of this ES/QRL promotion.

And maybe it'll encourage some Cas fans who may not of travlled to watch their team do so.

If they didn't want the Cas fans to enter then perhaps they should have just ran the advert in the paper and not published it on the website.

Anyway, got my free tickets because i am a tight northerner.

Just reading on the Castleford forum that Harlequins have organized it so Castleford fans can swap their South Stand tickets and go in the North Stand



You couldn't make it up. This offer has descended into a farce. As usual. Our club is a shambles.

I bet 80% of Castleford supporters are in on free tickets on Friday night. If I can't get hold of a spare for my mates, they will have to pay £15. Makes sense.

Neither have I seen in this thread any jibes at Harlequin fans who have no doubt taken the opportunity to gain free tickets for the match.

I presume Harlequins will not be complaining about an 8K attendance. The extra revenue from the bars etc would be greater then the revenue from a normal 3K attendance.

Cas fans please ignore Listers rants every club has an idiot who thinks they know more than anyone else and he is ours. Lister loves to think he is the only intellegent being and fools himself into believing he can cast a rod when in fact it is an aside to being downright rude, unfortunatley for the rest of us Lister thinks he is our club fisherman - just ignore him hopefully if everyone does he will go away.

I am a Quins fan adn say to you please come down and have a great evening, we know only too well the trials and expense of a friday game, long travel hours, unpaid leave or holiday, petrol expenses, food etc so why not come and support your team with a free ticket.

I swear some people would advocate everyone coming in to watch our club for free, while the club goes down the toilet due to the embarrassing way it is ran. The club is a business, not a charity.

I look forward to our away supporters being rewarded with free tickets when they pay £x to travel North.
