Granted debate - views from all sides, embraced, disregarded, countered, fresh new ideas, ways of thinking. Not the tired jaundiced bull that Barnaby and his acolytes spout turning more or less every thread into a repeat. Funny though not one of them ever comment on the on field, why is that ? Said it before, all of them empty vessels.

Didnt have you down as one of the acolytes ! Apols missed your question, no we are not in a better position by any reference BUT I live in hope that perhaps the club will start to recreate the spirit of those times and if they do, little by little there will be improvement. I've made my thoughts clear on Ealing on here previously but at the end of the day no end of moaning or threatening to never go again is going to make a jot of difference.

I'll go again if I can blag tickets. My guess is loads of freebies will be on offer.

We all go for differing reasons but no matter what we do or dont pay or what we feel about the history, the man, etc, bums on seats, atmosphere and supporting the team ..... and wanting to come back again is what fundamentally matters

In a nutshell, those that spend more time on here whining about my negativity than they do discussing anything else. Here's one now.....


Let's look at this post that was hot on the heels of an appeal to the moderators of these boards to create another forum where only negatives were allowed, thus freeing up this forum for Plum and his buddies Michael and Jaybs.

I debated the facts as they are in the hope that we will learn from our mistakes. I wont swallow anything that the club spout hook line and sinker, but instead look at anything and everything with a good amount of my mind on the past.

Tired and Jaundiced Bull?

I posted the most comprehensive description of the new facilities and the surrounding area including transport links when the members of the clique were still in denial that we were moving. In that post I even noted that the train station was closed on Sunday, yet the club didn't know this when it was pointed out at the forum.....I'm on the other side of the planet for christs sake! The club don't know what they are doing and are YET AGAIN making it up as they go along, with you know who writing cheques and everyone gleefully pocketing the dosh.

At the fans forum, the club made a big thing of saying that Trailfiners own the ground (they don't a charitable trust does) and not the Union side and that the Hive wasn't a good deal. Hands up who said in 2013 the Hive was a bad deal and hands up members of the clique who said I should "shut up"? Oh, I did also point out in the comprehensive coverage of our new ground that it was owned by a charitable trust. Again, not a popular view, but accurate none the less.

Then there' commenting "on the field". I can comment on the match reports, the video highlights and the smattering of radio I can get............oh and the results against part timers, but prefer to leave that to those who were there. In 13 years on these boards I have rarely commented on the "game", but instead the business side of the club. Because my message isn't rainbows and ponies, some get "angst", but hey ho....when I started we were on 4k and making SL play-offs. And yes......that is I told you so.

Then there's the comment that "plans are in place" to extend the stadium(sic) by 5 or 10k........no planning or pre-planning applications have been made to date.....hands up who believes that if we were promoted in 2016 we'd be in SL at ETF Ealing in 2017? Planning would take over 12 months and as far as I can glean from the internet, there has been no mention of this "development" anywhere in print other than in the notes from the fans forum. David Hughes has now said this on video and at the forum......sorry, but given his track record, hands up who believes him?

Remember, The Hive was "the best decision for the club" (DH 2013)

The acting CEO has declared that existing and lapsed fans are key to us growing......bugger me, if only someone had thought of that 13 years ago. Not sure how much he gets paid, but I have no doubt DH thinks he's getting VFM. The New Sales and Marketing person who will do no marketing but will cold call local businesses, has the toughest job I can think of, trying to make 250 fans standing around a fenced ground sound like a good "route to market".

I'll leave you with this thought. David Hughes claimed at the forum that Wigan's "London Reach" wasn't as big as Wigan made out.....if you want proof that he hasn't a clue, try this factoid.

19 Seasons in SL and 249 "home" games saw an average of 3,538 fans per game. Wigans average was 5,008......are you telling me that Wigan brought down and extra 1,500 compared to say Wire (3,500)...or did a fair number of ex-pat Wiganers living in London attend? Hughes is clueless and he's now delusional.....taking to snide remarks about a bigger and better run club!

The fact remains that whilst the club is in the hands of the current owner, the club will never prosper. All he wants is to take his seat on match day.

Currently PC Plum, Brian 2, Jaybs and Mickey1234 together with Bostwick and a couple of others are closely following my posts in threads that have nothing to do with "on-field" activity but a whole lot to do with the future of the club. Their attitude that "there's nothing we can do" is typical of a group who now go to games purely for each others company and to "stand defiant" rather than in any actual belief that the club will ever see SL again. That's a clique!

It's not a cop out to call them a clique, because that's what they are....they attack anyone who dares question the validity of anything the club does in total belief that "it'll come right". There is more chance of me winning euro lottery than the club being allowed to but 10,000 seats at Trailfinders, but they lap it up anyway.

I posted a caption comp picture that included some of the clique and it attracted nothing but ridicule. It was noted on the same picture on FACEBOOK that we used to take more to away games. At some stage the penny will drop......Hughes is not and will never be the solution to the problem that is London's Premier RL club....but those hardy souls gathered around a bed sheet with Hendo's Barmy Army are living the dream and they don't care about the missing 4,000+ fans. The same 4,000+ dans were worth about 780,000 a year in income at the stoop......we've sold 64 season tickets for next year......there might be one or two more clique members in there that aspire to be blind devotees to St Dave of Swinton and he doesn't care about the lost 780,000 in revenue because he has his merry band of followers.......

So a clique is any group of people who individually don't agree with you. There is no clique.

I didn't say they were a clique because they disagreed with me, I said it was because they seemed to follow me into threads that were always going to be negative.....that is a clique because they are seldom alone!

I confirm i will no longer follow your clealy "negative" threads, but actually you turn every thread into a rant about Gus, Saint David, and endless stats about how many fans we have lost etc etc.

Can i be clear - i do not believe David Hughes is the answer, for the last time i agree with you totally that the club has been appallingly run, trailfinders is almost certainly not the answer and terrible appointments have been made. But i am not delusional.

i like rugby, i go and watch union, fall asleep watching football - and love RL. So i will continue to go and support them, whatever you think.

But i promise - i will no longer read or respond to any thread you begin......

Thought this was a thread about the Fans Forum, when we had moderators ( a long time ago) I was given an official warning for going off thread?

Ok fair enough best leave it there then. We have all got our strong views I suppose and I think Ive expressed mine on the Hughes front quite forcefully you might say. No doubt though when the time comes I will end up eating my words and turn up for a number of fixtures.

The option of attending Broncos away games could enable watching the team but with no compromise on the Hughes front? Hopefully still see you at the odd home game.

Yes I will defo be at Blackpool or wherever Summer Bash appears at.
