for what its worth, im quite happy to see Quinns in S/L, and i can understand why your away support isnt that good too, you must be looking at £50/60 every other week to get to an away game, its a lot of money, thats why whilst people around me are slagging of Quinns/Catalans poor away support i think youve got to give them respect. can you imagine what it would cost a Catalans fan to do every away game.
Youve also got to give Quinns a pat on the back for the way your overseas players have dropped in numbers over the years too.
infact the only down side to your club is your fan base, but that was always to be expected given your in Football/Rugby union land.

However Quins having was it 4 Loan players in the 17 today wasnt a good advertisment for there development structure.

Fair point - I don't think we have a huge injury list - Golden (not played all season), Krasniqi, Purdham and Bailey, but they are all back rowers so I guess the view is the quality of the London reserves in the back 3 isn't quite there yet in that position.

Every London fan recognises that the club neglected junior development for years, until relatively recently. It's no secret. If they hadn't we'd have had more than the odd LMS and Clubb come through, and wouldn't have had to rely on putting almost 17 antipodeans on the pitch in the early 2000's, way above the clubs (already specially larger) import quota and achieved through various creative passport management techniques - hence my amusement at a long-standing fan criticising Rovers for having the same attitiude.

Manys the discussion had here abouts in the early 00's about junior players and development and the lack of support the club in those days "appeared" to give to the subject while being quick to claim support of whatever junior development was going on, Suzanne & Phil aside, not much was being done to assist them at the time.

Not sure what that means but I would suggest that your username gives no idea you live in London at all. You could live in Brisbane for all I know (or care).

Just to help you out about the 'Early 2000's' was 11 years ago, the guy I took exception too was talking as if Quins still do not have any sort of youth set up.

It's nothing to do with injuries Rob, it just makes sound financial sense for Quins to get a few loan players in for the year as they cannot afford to spend anywhere near the cap.

They cant play 4 or 5 young kids all at the same time, week in week out, nobody could do that.

Seriously, I couldn't make you up - that "guy" you're talking about was me, so I reckon I know what I meant and when I was talking about. That'd probably be why my post that you quoted in the first place said "[uProgress in recent years[/u doesn't delete over a decade's messing about and special exemptions". That was kind of the whole point of the post: Just because Quins have a good set-up NOW doesn't mean people like PP who sat in Griffin Park with me and watched a load of journeyman Kolpaks run around the pitch can start bagging Rovers for playing on the margins of the rules.
