What about the big one behind the sticks near the houses is that open?

A cropped screenshot from the Ealing Trailfinders RU site this morning. All the construction stuff is still fenced off behind the sticks so it looks extremely weird. The new bar/bogs/shop won't be open that's for sure. It will be very odd if they are left as they are. Still, we can all see for ourselves tomorrow.

Is does look a bit odd. RU side are playing today but I doubt they need it.

You were correct. The attendance at ETRU's game was a meagre 267 (although not a league game for them today).

Were there not a couple of other games on that would be of interest to most Yawnion fans.

Trailfinders game was what's seen as a mickey mouse cup by the championship clubs plus the internationals and the weather may have kept a few away

It just looks weirder & weirder. I just cannot fathom why this big stand is so far off the edge of the pitch. Surely it'll be moved to the still fenced off central part??!!

Torbrek, you were right with your first post re the stand. Both stands are coming down tomorrow, and when the hard standing behind the sticks is finished they go back up.
Apparently contractors had an issue, the cut the main power cable to the houses.
Moving the stands they can repair the damage caused by idiots today.

And the MC at the Open Day took the mickey out of Gary when he said the stands will be up, are permanent and won't move

The reason the big one is where it is, was because they cut the main power cable, so had to re think. They had a commitment to provide the seats so good compromise this week.

It seems that the missing link, as far as the new stands go, have begun to be erected. I cannot see them being ready for Cas, but I would hope they will be up and running for Wigan.

Got told that the larger of the two was coming down and being moved! Looking at latest pictures does not look to be the case does it? Looks like another 3rd stand going up in the middle spot. Size of it looks like another 750 seater structure

Maybe it is quicker to do it that way.

I will be gracing Ealing with my presence tomorrow seeing as we finally had the sense to schedule a game on a Saturday.

Not actually bothered why they are doing it. Just find it interesting. Torbrek thought once hard standing was built they would drag them together. I then got told that this effectively is what would happen, like I say looks like another stand totally with a decent amount of seats, be interesting to see if the one off to the side stays up

Anyone got any gossip on what's happening with the new stand? Good to see it open and full on Sunday against Wigan, it made it much easier to find a nice spot standing on the touchline with 5-600 people sitting up there instead.

It's not the 1,100 seats that were suggested pre-season, so I'm assuming the two smaller stands will remain either side of it. Toilets, etc going in underneath? Another bar? Both would be handy.

The big new stand has to be 900 seats. So if they keep all 3 that’s a combined seating capacity of close to 1800 if not 2000.

No way is it 900 seats. 700/750 absolute max. But anyway, anyone heard anything about the rest of it?

My understanding was there would be a bar and toilets installed underneath it.

Cheers. This is one of those areas people reference when criticising the club's lack of communication. How difficult would it have been to have said "we're building this stand, it'll hold X seats, with Y facilities and it'll be ready by Z date"? It's literally a 10 minute job to write that and stick it on the website. The constant silence just frustrates.

When is the new stand due to open?

The seating in a fairly large new stand was open for the Wigan game. There are also two smaller more temporary looking stands either side of it. Whether they will be retained is not clear.

Thought the new stand was going to take off in the wind at one point
