| If the club (QPR) sold the stadium i'm sure there is price somewhere in the region of what Broncos could afford BUT selling the land rather than the Stadium would surely get more money.
I'm sure the business man that owns QPR would be looking to get the best price and even though he seems like a great bloke doesn't seem like the one who would do RL a favour over making a decent buck to invest back in to his club.
It's similar to selling a car, sell it in one and get one price, strip it down and sell it in parts and you'll probably get 3 times as more.

Loftus Road should be a valuable site, but it wouldn't get planning permission for anything but housing, and the fact there is a very dodgy 30s housing estate right across the road makes it an unlikely place for up-market flats. Any housing development has to include a proportion of low-cost social housing. The dream ticket would be for QPR to go into consortium with either Fulham or Chelsea to build a new stadium. All the social housing would be at Loftus Road, all the for-profit stuff at Craven Cottage or Mordor, where it would earn top dollar. As there's only one council to negotiate with, they might get away with it.
Doesn't leave anything for the Broncos though...

| Said the other week that QPR fancied moving into Chelsea's ground if Chelsea move.
For me QPR is an awful ground for rugby of either code.
The rumour about AFC wimbledon was that if Wimbledon move that LBRLFC would share the stadium. Its ok playing a one off in east London but I dont think in the long term it would be good to move over that way.
Best seeing in the long run what Wimbledon and Brentford have if there is a need to move from twickers

The pitch is just too small. It's the smallest pitch I've ever seen used for rugby above Conference level. The seats are uncomfortable (inadequate legroom) although you're very close to the action with the stands very tight to the pitch. I think it was the first Football League ground to be totally covered on all four sides (presumably mostly built when they moved back there from White City in the 60's) but by modern standards it's outmoded.

| Anywhere is better than The Stoop though, right? I couldn't see any rugby last season, I was that far from the pitch.

There's even more of them living in Ealing. Maybe we should groundshare with Ealing Trailfinders?
Why do you think Poles would like Rugby League?
I can only recall one player, Kacala?
Whatever his name was, he ended up in RU with the Cardiff Blues.

| Please don't tar us with the same brush - I'm not soulless and make one hell of a noise.
The Stoop is a great venue, very easy to get to (M3 on door step). Parking is extremely easy and plenty of it. Station quite close. Why keep moaning about the Stoop? Is there a wrong side of the M25? Depends where you live, two of us in Crowthorne, 2 in Oxford and 2 in Wallington so we all travel by car to get there, easy.
Why on earth annoy the quite happy Stoop goers to move to East London?
Or am I totally missing the point?

Just_Jillie, No decision has been made to move to the East London! just the same as no one know what our long term agreement to stay at The Stoop are, but there are aspirations to own or co-own out own ground at some time in the future so we are not held to ransom by any agreements by a landlord.
Yes you are happy at The Stoop and so are many others, but then again some never wanted to return to The Stoop or go there in the first place, support is drawn from all across London and at the end of the day the decision will be made what is Best for Our Club and not for any individuals. Personally I liked the atmosphere first at The Stoop but it was then something new, this time around I have not liked it at all, but as I said No One knows yet what we will do in the future, most important is we have a Super League Club in London wherever that may be!

I think you are being very closeminded. Any community should be encouraged, they can then get behind it as one.

The last time I saw a picture of Polish fans at a rugby game, they were somewhat right wing to say the least.
Maybe we should be appealing to the Albanian community?

And what is so radical, why?! I didn't decide it either, I suggested it might be a good idea, forget it then.

| Did slug not say he was a returning fan dipping his toes back in the water now we are broncos again? What a lovely welcome everyone's giving him. It's not outrageous to suggest marketing to polish people but it probably won't happen.
Going to be a long off season if it carries on like this.
Bring on the 4th of February!
