He:s an ex-Chairman and the man who co-wrote the DHFC revitilization plan back when they got gates of 170 and were widely disliked locally due to mis-management of their facilities by the then owner. The co-writer of the policy also supported Broncos but is now deceased. Put simply the two of them saved the club
The deceased lad is the one Monkey said on here he couldn't see what he had to learn about club revitilization from a librarian when I recommended the duo as a source of free advice. Totally ignoring the fact the bloke had won two serious national awards for his work at DHFC and chose to work for the club he loved for free, which is why he remained a librarian. The change in that attitude to the point where Monkey is reputedly going out and consulting is why I will give him a little credit. It must have been rather humbling to realise the librarian he had nothing to learn from delivered much better results

| The hosts of the meeting have said they will share the discussion points widely with supporters Soonest.
I will be consolidating the points in this thread and emailing them in advance.

| Being mindful that the CEO and commercial mgr aren't going to release certain business planning/decisions to the wider public or answer pressing internal business critical questions, here is a list of questions im planning to forward to the meeting hosts. Is there more I could add??
Communication;
Limited communication in 2021. Why has it been so limited.
Why isn’t communication consolidated and ‘official’ ie same messaging on email, FB, instagram, twitter……..
Some ‘official’ communication responsibilty appears to have been passed to some supporters. Is the wise??
Club strategy
Where is the club looking to be in 2, 5, 10 years?
The club appears to have gone from a mix of quality players from both the UK and Australia with a few academy players to one principally based on ex academy players. Is this the future?
Is there an ambition to get promoted to SL?
The coaching team has gone from 3 to 1 in a matter of weeks. Is the club looking to back fill the vacancies to a full compliment?
Wimbledon
There was an initial communication regarding Wimbledon from the CEO but nothing has followed. Is there more to come?
What is the plan for the move
Are we looking to ‘launch' the move as a new future for the club (Given the increased cost of the stadium) and will this mean a more competitive team
Supporters
Since The Stoop days the supporter base attending matches has dropped from 3-5000 to todays numbers of less than 1000 (Accepting the club is now in the championship). Are the club looking to win back the lost supporters and if so, how?
Can the supporters assist in promoting the club. At Brentford supporters delivered leaflets to the local community
Will the club be targeting new/different demographics as potential supporters
Buck & Dusty were part of the club branding (and attractive for the kids) are we looking to enhance the clubs branding?

| Quote ="Halfdan of t'wide embrace"It may interest people to know that a couple of sports sources have now told me Monkey is consulting with at least some people experienced in turning clubs around about his plans for 2022. It appears that the fiasco of 2021 has persuaded him that perhaps others may know a bit more than him. If so, credit to him for waking up. Here's hoping he'll listen and it's not token. Shame about the damage already inflicted by the 2021'plans though.
WQ my question. Are the club aware that 25% of the Scottish Premier League is supporter owned? Those clubs receive substantial income from Trust members making monthly donations to the Trust which then part fund the club, alongside the club's commercial revenues.
One of those clubs, Hearts, is way bigger than Broncos ever will be but two, St Mirren and Motherwell, are not much bigger than Broncos once were.
It's a given this method of funding is not currently available to Broncos given they have devastated their own support base. However: -
Do they regret not working with LBSA to establish such a scheme when it may have been vtable, with David keeping control but LBSA getting equity in return for substantial funding.
If the support base recovers, and LBSA are interested, will the club investigate this funding model in the future?'"
Monkey wants full control of it all!!
LBSA couldn’t be controlled so started his own OSG. Now heard from Sport Sources he does too much so wants to take a step back from everything!

If this is answered it needs to include what targets and contingencies are in place for "set backs" and outright failure.
I would be stunned....but I'd like them to answer these simple questions
What will be considered a success in 2022 in terms of:
1. fan attendances,
2. paid fan attendance,
3. ST sales,
4. INCOME from shirt sponsorship
5. Table position at seasons end.
Everything else is just window dressing....PR and communications are only key if you're planning to reach past your own fans, if which we have a couple of hundred.
My gut says this is an excercise in "saying sorry" and asking for a second chance and little else.....delighted to be proven wrong

At times GF you really do show corporate naivety (maybe thats why you aren't employed by a global first world corporate.) Why would any company provide any response to points 2 and 4 (Add in 3) to a few fans in a pub? Just think that through.
Should I ask what DH input will be or current debt or maybe go the whole hog and request the LB 2020/21 detailed spend 'Spreadsheet'!

| WQ in respect of your club strategy point I see that the first Championship signings for next season are beginning to come through. As per this season Broncos are conspicuous by their absence save the earlier rumour of Richards to Leigh and the news today that Fozard is off to Widnes. It really would be good to hear some encouraging words on recruitment or at least clarity that we are indeed out of the market.

Not at all. I don't expect answers to any of the questions, but it doesn't mean they don't need asking.
Question 2 is based around the maths of ticketing income streams as explained to me by the then clubs CEO back in 2007. 60% of the on the day ticket price is the average income stream. If you accept that A) the 350 declared at the weekend is accurate and B) that they all paid to get in, then of the supposed £7,000 taken on the gate, £4,200 was income for the club.. At current levels, we'd need 50 home games to cover the rent at Plough Lane....and that;' based on everybody being there and paying to be there last Sunday.
Question 4 is based around the number of club "partners' who have appeared on shirts over the years rather than paying sponsors. We currently don't actually produce any replica shirts in volumes any more because we don't sell any. The last shirt I bought for myself at the club was at The Hive....the ones that went unsold that day were shipped off to Africa IIRC. .my last visit to Trailfinders saw me buy my boy a shirt, because there were no adult ones available. A shirt sponsor would expect at least a few hundred of 'their logos' would be walking about in the stands etc.....but regardless...and my corporate naivety is again at play here, I can bolted on assure you that if you visit the clubs sponsors & Partners section of the website, you'll see a load of Partners and not one sponsor......
As I say. I don't expect an answer, but I believe the questions need asking anyway. Without Hughes, there's little or no income other than that from fans and sponsors. We currently have a handful of one and SFA of the other.
Oh..as for spreadsheets. I actually have the quins RL ones from 2009-12. A horror story they may be, but £225k was the rent in a purpose built Rugby Stadium and we had at the time fan revenues of £70k a game delivering £42k per game (£470k a year) of income to the club and covering the rent at the time.

| Here's a question for them. Given SL 1 & 2 with 10 teams in each is more than likely happening at the end of 2022, what steps are being taken to ensure that London finish inside the cut off point next year?
We will finish 18th this year.......one better than 2015.

A less than subtle backtrack. You couldn't just say; maybe the questions weren't appropriate, more it was an opportunity to show you have an 'assumption based' abacus and wanted to show what you believe to be are the company P&L. You don't know DH strategy and what he's happy to spend.
As for asking the questions; I won't put them on the spot with questions, even if they knew the numbers they wouldn't share them, plus make myself look naive. This isn't a cafe in a small emerging country village, its a million pound business.

That question albeit in a different format has been asked in the question set sent through. (another assumption based question)
Have you run out of ideas?

From someone who has spent his RL Fans 'career' openly and aggressively lambasting a successful multimillionaire businessman and trying to expose his shortcomings in managing a RL business, I will take this as a deflection tactic from being exposed as hopelessly (embarrassingly) naive in his proposed question set to be presented to the CEO and commercial mgr of the club in an open forum (whilst historically playing out the big corporate (im always correct, one fits all mindset) marketing guru).
I think we all now know your level. (and more latterly tactical sensitivities)

| Asking Qs that are likely to get an honest answer, don’t unnecessarily offend and that go to the key issues is the way forward. If they ask for an honest appraisal of their performance then a robust but strategic response I’m sure will land. I work on the basis they want the club to succeed. We’ll see if the ability and resource and finances are there to do so.
