| Quote ="The Chronicler of Chiswic"As far as the ground is concerned, looking at it on the website and Google Earth, I'm surprised that it was passed for the Championship by the RFL as all the other potential clubs in the division with the possible exception of Oldham are better (and I think that Oldham have alternatives in mind for big games). With regards to everything else that was said, it strikes me as just being the usual load of dark brown bovine soil improver that we've been told over the last few years. I'd love to be proved wrong but I don't think I will be
'"
Oldham won't be allowed to play in the Championship at Whitebank. Talking to some of their fans today they have been told a groundshare is ready if they win promotion. York were in the same boat but have already confirmed a satisfactory ground for next season irrespective of division.
The RFL seem to have tweaked the rules to save York this season, perhaps that has happened here too.

| Thank you Rob from Erith for your post. It is most useful for those of of us who were unable to attend and to the likes of me who would probably in all honesty would not have attended anyway in the first place, but would have known if we had we were to have heard the usual Bull that the club were liable to spout. What concerns me though was the alledged criticism of Ian Lenaghan and Wigan. Someone suggested on here they were arrogant, well perhaps they have earnt the right. They have a rich history as a club of winning meaningful silverware, not of Hemorrahaging thousands of fans. Also IF has been alledged DH made a
comment or two that was slightly IL anti perhaps those who found it amusing should check where the club were playing and the average attendances at the time he was at the Club.I think its fair to say it would have filled "Trailblazers" with a fair bit to spare and more.

| Odd how so called London Broncos fans seem obsessed with finding failings in every decision the club or the RFL make. Nothing is taken at face value, and its largely by the contributors who either don't watch the club or have no plans on watching them going forward.
Equally odd how these folk want to continue to contribute to a forum that represents a club they no longer believe in or are interested in.
Maybe they should love off, and focus on their new life experiences or accept that they really do care for the London Broncos and stop being a bunch of merchant bankers.

Of course we are. We can start from scratch. As if. I think most know exactly where we're at and are more ed off with the fact Wigan have been given the opportunity to fill the gap.

| But we should not have to start from scratch. How long does Hughes need ?
Its due to him that Wigan are in this position in the first place.
The fact is we lost Lenaghan and its been downhill ever since. Im sorry to call as it is but for me thats the case.Seriously Ive been attending for 16 years or so and it doesnt give me any pleasure posting this but i have had it with Hughes ..Add me to the thousands of others perhaps. I genuinely wish Hendo and the squad well but I wont put a penny in the owners pocket. I will still be at Skolars and elsewhere but Im sorry Im done with Hughes.

| No we shouldn't but there is nowt we can do to turn the clock back. Unless you've got a Delorean, flux capacitor and some plutonium. I doubt spending a few thousand would get close to the owners pocket. Hopefully you'll return for the last rights in a couple of years.

I think you need to need to understand the definition of the word forum there are still supporters who are posting on this forum who have supported this club for many years who still have an opinion and are very upset at how the club has sunk to the level it is now at. If you do not complain about how the club is run by voting by not going to games and by not agreeing with the 90% of club worshipers on this forum how can the club change. Who would thought that we could have gone from a club with a season ticket holders of over a 1000 to less than 250 within 2 years

| PC Plum by name plum by nature it seems.
There's a good chance Broncos will attract lower crowds than Skolars next season.
At which point St David of Hughes & his dwindling band of true believers will probably qualify for an EU grant as an endangered minority.

Cracking post.........highlights the arrogance of the remaining few and their belief that "you're not a real fan" unless you worship at the feet of St David. Watching the club continue to fail is painful, but worth it knowing numpties Like plum are there to enforce the clique mentality....

Not a bad idea. However just one major flaw. As a business applying for a grant or loan you need a business plan, a workable real one you intend to implement.

He also needs to remember that some of us now live, in my case, a 400+ mile round trip from the ground and are also very angry at the way the hard work that they put in to keep the club going in the eighties when Ernie Clay pulled out has been effectively wasted by one man's arrogance and blinkered outlook.

I can assure you that I don't worship at David Hughes feet, as these doom merchants do, I have always made my thoughts & opinions known but direct to the man himself, we would never have been able to continue so long without him, but I know his mistakes in my opinion so well. What if fans behaved like these Few still do here those at clubs with a lot longer history such as the Cumbria Clubs, we would be left with a 8 team RL sport.
Some of us will fight on and that is what it is now to retain our club, we fail and I see little future for the sport anywhere past Sheffield heading south.

Nick Cartwright, Chris Warren, Paul Brown, Ian Lenagan, David Hughes, Richard Lewis, Keith Hogg, Paul Blanchard and Angus Mackay have all had my "opinion" delivered face-2-face. A couple of them, actually agreed with me but unfortunately, Hughes has never taken to "advice" well and as a result, the club are ted beyond repair.
The fact that Hughes has bankrolled this disaster doesn't pardon him from taking 90% of the blame and I don't care if you 'think" we wouldn't have existed without him, because we will never know now. As a viable SL entity, we may have attracted interest from outside or inside the game, but whilst he held court and the 20 million + of debt was on the books, nobody would come near us....and now we are one step away from being Hammersmith Hills Hoists!
I will continue to follow the clubs "progress" and I will continue to proffer my opinion here and elsewhere. I will attend games when I am in the country, but have no axe to grind with fans who have had enough and I find it incredibly arrogant to you and Plum to lambaste fans of the club for having a negative opinion of it, it's current direction and its owner. These people have invested time and money in attending and supporting the club and have been treated terribly...they are consumers and next time you're having a heart to heart with your Buddy "Dave', tell him from me, his Customer Relationship Management skills stink! It's only my opinion mind, but it does come backed up with some pretty hefty data behind it!
I see the crowd was announced as a nice round 500 for the last harrah at the "venue where we can grow" (Hughes circa 2013).....that's a fair drop from the dizzy heights of 8k for his first game in sole ownership!

In 6 short seasons (2009-14) he reduced our attendance by 67%, took a 43% win ratio and reduced it to 23% and took our average finishing place from 7th to 11th. He increased our average losing margin from 4.18 to over 12.2 points a game and ran up personal investment/debt to the tune of 18 million pounds......if someone set out to destroy a professional sports club I doubt they could do a better job!

Don't talk daft. The "hard core" Broncos "Ultras" will recruit Rupe 1, who will in turn ignore the new tenancy at a Union training facility and will assemble the massed ranks of London supporters who left when we became Harlequins (ignoring the fact that crowds went up) and the sheer volume of fan traffic along Vallis Way will convince residents that they should actually sell their houses to pay for a new 25,000 seat arena where St David of Swinton can hold court to the massed ranks of the RL faithful who look nothing like a bunch of train spotters as a casual observer on facebook might think they do.

Wow......you do seem intent in some sort of internet "outing" of me when the reality is I've never hidden my identity at all. Are you still of the belief I am ashamed of my christian name?
By the way, I said I will attend when in the country if only to see first hand the level of hell we have arrived at on this fun bus ride to oblivion.
