I suspect if there is no P&R there will be a 12 team SL with 5 year licences.

| it is quite funny that we are getting all excited and upset about us asking for some help to keep us operating as a TOP FLIGHT team.
did the other clubs that have been helped out over the years refuse!!!?
No names no pack drill
Its not the first time a team in the comp has been exempt from the drop, teams going bust, teams having there grounds bought by the governing body, teams ignoring the salary cap, teams using interesting employment techniques to get round salary cap, owners/exec officers having interests in several clubs in the same league, teams uprooting and moving from expansion area back to heartland despite the franchise being based on location.
Not having a dig at those involved just saying it happens.

..."they did it first" doesn't change the point about values and the club.
Proudly, London fans were happy to be the fly in the ointment of the flat earth brigades crusade to have "their" club in Super League to replace "that there London that was getting loads of extras from the RFL". We never finished bottom, nor in a relegation place and we were weaned off our imports and uncovered some pretty decent "northerners" willing to come down and do the business for us. Rob Purdham is a true club legend and any further north he's have been a sweaty!
The Club have let it slip so badly that they now feel the need to go cap in hand for exemptions.......I suggest one of the key issues over the last few years has been failure to prioritise what was important and what wasn't....you know my thoughts on the name change and ground change......there were far more important things to do in my opinion.....it comes down to having core values and then living/working to them.

10%.?
Found this bargain in Hull

so basically, a player in Hull can buy a flat for 15k but a player in London needs 10k MORE just to park his car
10% id 2/10th of SFA....
I paid 4 quid for a pint of Peroni in London last year.....that means it would be 3.64 up north.......I'd suggest a pint at 3.64 in Hull/Castleford/Leeds/Salford/St Helens would not find itself out of its barrel!

| For me it depends on what comes out over the next couple of weeks. If we end up fielding a team made up of 12 antipodeans then I won't be watching, or taking any interest in what goes on. It'll be like all of the work done over the past decade has been wasted and Rea will have taken us back full circle. I've got no interest in that.

| Apart from the Brentford years I've watched Broncos for 18 years, right now I'm totally appalled by the lack of any communication coming from the club. All we can see are news stories of people moving on.
They need to tell us something very soon, I have a London Skolars season ticket as well as Broncos and watching them last year was a delight, they were a team full of players who wanted to win. London Broncos are a passion, so I will buy a season ticket, but i'm losing patience with them!

Mr Cracker felt the need to revisit me via email to inform me that I was misleading, in that he had never claimed house prices were the same, but Goods and Services apparently are?
[urlhttp://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/city_result.jsp?country=United+Kingdom&city=Hull[/url
as opposed to
[urlhttp://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/city_result.jsp?country=United+Kingdom&city=London[/url
My rent, transport, utilities, petrol, cost of my car, fitness Club, cinema tickets, clothes, groceries, restaurants...even McDonnalds are all far more expensive than in Hull.
No doubt Mr Cracker will be back with another attempt to show how everything costs the same everywhere.....he's a shy one though. I don't understand why he won't post his attacks here?
By the way........his Peroni would be 33% cheaper in Hull

| It's difficult to reply to "Cracker" as I cannot read what he said, but if your summary is accurate then he's wrong.
I am a northerner. I come from Harrogate, which is far from being an inexpensive place but it is not comparable to London, not remotely. Everything is more expensive and is largely a consequence of the higher price of property.
Quoting the price of property does tend to overstate the difference, but there is going to be a significant difference in all the things that you said.

Be that as it may, P&R is the current proposal, hence I've based my argument on it being implemented.

| I gave up on the broncos/quins London a couple of years ago was a season ticket holder, now pop along once or 2 a season!
For me the real fun in supporting left with Mark McLinden, the rise of LMS was fun but false dawn!
The real issue for me and I don’t think anyone important, really got to the bottom of question of how important is London to the game. I think it’s been debate to death but never had a properly thought out plan! Plenty have come and gone given it great lip service but there’s never been a great plan for getting for the London team to get more people in. There seems to be an odd attitude to the whole thing, it’s a great game the people will just come.
Sorry that been a tosh argument for 30 years and why Super league in London is where it is today (I don’t want to have a pop at all the good grass roots work that has been done and I only visited the site today on the back of Phil Jones departure- and that to me is the end of London!)
Well clearly Londoners are too stupid to realise its a great game and it not worked. Sorry I forgot the other brilliant reasons for failure ‘well its always been in posh west London if only we’d been working class east London!’ and ‘ Its the wrong name’ FFS
But sadly those that run the game seem to think that acceptable we tried in London but it didn’t work oh well
Surely if you’re try a parachute product into new area I would have thought it has to be a great product and in sport that’s a winning team! London have never had that long enough and consistently enough. So for me I would tear up the rulebook just give London a winning team. Other thing that appears to be missing is the money to do this and that where the thing falls down for me.
Fair play to Gutterfax I agree lots of thing he says and marketing team/ department that seem hell bent on shooting itself in the foot at every given opportunity doesn’t help. But the team has not been good enough in last 5 years to get new people in.
I understand that that a hollow victory just buying it but it happens in other sports! It strikes me those opposing that are a bit like those people who sit in an empty boozer and complain when the landlord tries to change anything new 12 months later your pubs gone!
30 years on TOP FLIGHT RUGBY LEAGUE IS DEAD IN LONDON!

That is what I would like to know the answer to. The concern I feel, and this is from a few clubs, is that how does a Championship Club survive in Super League with the adjustment it makes, the reason why the licence system was introduced. Not that clubs can't attain Super League stature, like football The RFL can't afford parachute payments, but will it lead us to one season and relegation regularly, never mind the stupid mid season split! Just can't understand why the clubs expect Championship sides who swallowed the sweet they were offered fell for it! and never objected earlier.

| in response to previous comments here, you have used an example of the ONLY thing that is as expensive here as in London... Beer!!
In my local in Normanton (between Castleford and Wakefield) I pay £1.80 a pint of Carling
go 5 miles west into Wakefield, and it's £3+
Peroni up here, even in our small city can touch £4

| According to zoopla, average property price in Castleford around £120k. Average in Twickenham £556k.
I make the difference a bit more than 10%.......
