^^^ Wot he said ^^^
The only saving grace was the second half Melling/Kaufusi tackle on Crabtree that folded him in two, that was worth the entrance money

| Kafusi and Dixon are what saved us. I agree the ref was useless (and that's a promotion for him) but he did not lose us the game. We lost because the team looked inept apart from one or two little bright sparks, they had no idea what to do and panic was evident if they got the ball. I feel the talent is being coached out of them and not into them. On the refs decisions, they were inconsistent, Keiron Dixon should have been given a 20 metre restart after taking the ball in goal and not a goal line dropout, also his foot was not in touch when he scored the try and I was trying hard to understand why the second try was denied. Can anyone tell me I would seriously be interested to know as I have no idea.
Tim you asked why I was 'rosetintedglasses' maybe it's because I live in hope but will die in despair of this team.
Finally why was a team devoid of imagination and effort applauded off the pitch

Because despite their cluelessness, they played their hearts out against a team that is top of the table and will finish top four. Don't blame the team for a rookie coach and a dreadful referee. The score did not reflect the game.

| There was plenty in today to be pleased with. Forwards went really well.
On possession we should have won. It will come

| There is no denying that there were some very strange referee decisions which changed the game! some of the decisions from Tim Roby were serious errors and it is no wonder coaches ask for video camera's at all matches.
You can't doubt players like Kafusi and Dixon gave it everything and deserved a better result, as did such as Gower.
The time is close when someone with real experience of coaching at a top level has to be brought in to assist Rob, even if only for a short period and see if that will work in sorting out such as the defence problems we seem to have

Spot on. There were several positives to be taken from that performance and at times they showed the sort of touches that we expect. Loads to improve on but a million miles better than the Hull game.
On the Giants tries, first one length of the field interception, second a random bobbling ball, third a ball that bounced in the in goal area like nothing I had seen before, fourth did he ground it, last good took advantage of a tired team.
Our three disallowed, Howell fair enough but Dixon and Robertson only the joker Roby and his incompetent assistants can explain.

Then you seem to one of the few who did not question many decisions then by Roby, I did not give it as an excuse for losing, but it can change games.

| I think I counted 7-2 in penalties to Hudds in the first half
The first 3 sets of the game for hudds were error from KO then penalty, penalty- We need to sort that out
Just before half time I thought hudds would scored when they took the penalty goal-That would have been the 4th set in a row had they run it.

| Just a few random thoughts:
I rated our team high for effort and enthusiasm but low for composure and, with a couple of exceptions, for individual skills.
Gower is working really hard to lead from the front but he's trying to do everything and getting knackered as a result.
If Brough hadn't made that interception when we were 6-0 up and well on top, things could have turned out very differently because Hudds were looking shambolic up till then. Though I had to admire the way Brough stepped his way out of it when he'd obviously run out of puff and was about to be caught.
Bench of Dorn, Melling, Krasniqi and Bolger is close to suicide against Hudd's pack.

| For the second week in a row, we played with an acceptable level of intensity for only a quarter of the game.
I'm really sick of seeing our players jog off the defence line as if they're going for a gentle afternoon stretch. We give teams far too much room. This isn't about individual players, it's cultural
As for coaching, let's get someone in, maybe alongside Powell, who can instil some degree of intensity of aggression.

| Couple of things here
Dixon disallowed try, it was a 20 mtr restart so he must have bobbled it when grounding the ball, if his foot was in touch before grounding it then the decision would have been scrum down
Could not comment on the catchign ball in goal, if he jumped from field of play makes no difference where he landed
second disallowed try was for off side! so obviously ref thought he was in front of kicker
What lost us this game! too many penalties and all fair!
panic close to the line.
Weak defence, think it was Hudds second try loose ball picked up by Cudjoe walked through 3 tacklers from 30 mtrs out who all tried tackling like it was tag rugby.
Wardle try I think it was in corner, TJ stood off reckoned no try, in goal and ref decided otherwise, but again poor tackling.
On the plus side, we did show some good signs for short periods, if we can get that energy together for a good spell in a game we will do well
Kafusi! the new Soloman! Dixon is going to be a star, Howell I think have a reasonable game. Bolger made some good mtrs when he came on.
Hudds are a class outfit, we could have gone down by a lot more, in reality I did not think we would get anything from our first 4
If we lose next week, then is time to worry

| Stick with it Broncos, didn`t get down today, but was pleased with the last 20 mins at Hull.
You have a good number of new faces and it takes time to gel, you will start picking up points from now on.

Sorry, but Dixon's foot was in touch. May have been touch in goal, pushed out as he came down. Good spot, though I wish he'd missed it.

| Good points - Kafusi (especially his 'Welcome to London' tackle after Crabtree had given Dixon an extra shove as he tried to get up and play the ball - big man you are Eorl! , Dixon looks comfortable at this level (yeah I know he dropped the ball but he's a kid, he'll get better), Robertson especially 2nd half
Bad points - I have to say a few of our players are stealing a wage at the moment HoweLL, Randall are shadows of the players they were a few seasons ago, stupid mistakes like the suicidal pass on the Hudds line we see all too often that let ? Brough run the length of the pitch to score, Gower and Witt (Witt particularly) are not working as a halfback pairing, despite a big effort from us Hudds beat us comfortably playing well within themselves, too many players standing still receiving the ball and no real ideas of what to do with it, and giving away too many stupid penalties!! And where were the 1,000 or more others that came to the Saints game? Less than 2,000 is shocking even with Hudds relatively low away numbers

| Improvements...Kaufusi fired up, not embarrassed by dummy-half breaks like in previous games. No dropped kicks.
Not good...right-side attack...too many possessions died with Bailey, far too many penalties, panicky offloads that weren't expected by the support players.
We made a good Huddersfield team look very beatable today, and if they didn't have Brough, who was excellent all over the pitch, and Kudjoe, I think we would have won. Unfortunately, we have so little confidence in our ability to score from rehed moves that we try the improbable too readily. I have to say, we don't look well-coached.

Yeah but they DID have Brough, and with Brown and Grix they had the players to up the tempo when neccessary.
Agree with what you say about the right side, its a shambles!
