The David Hughes post-match interview is lovely to watch. His emphasis on our youth system indeed appears to be paying dividends.

Looks like a bit of a daft question now but I thought maybe he would have liked to have achieved promotion as head coach. I suppose he's well placed to take over at Wire in the future - or at any other SL club for that matter.
Interesting what you say about Hendo and the Academy, from the limited time I've seen of Academy games / players there seems to be a much more relaxed/ enjoyable vibe about them this season and yet they have still produced good results and performances.
Same seems to go for the first team too.

I was pleased when Judas was yellow carded but it should have been a red one. Judas leaving us for to get into into SL didnt work either. We know where the Hendo thing comes from. That persons son, who came up through the academy, was not fancied by Hendo and allowed to leave for another team. His father did not take it too well.

It was a red card......player had his arms wrapped by another tackler and the head shot was 100% Intended......straight red!
I though the ref ad a good game yesterday, but if that had been a London tackle and we'd have lost a player to a red for it, I'd have no argument.....

Of course a london player would have got a red for that.
Luckily it was not a london player, and luckily they had the vid ref to look at it and give his view.

NB a while ago a I called you a tool and you have done nothing to persuade me otherwise. A head high shot means a red card. The newspapers said red card, the TV media showed a head shot and said a red card, the fans saw a head shot, the team saw a head shot, the player felt the head shot and had the bruises to prove it, you and the video ref are the only two saying different so why argue about something which has been proven. You leave yourself wide open when you still argue against a proven fact

Just to say how delighted me and my lad were with the team's performance and the result on Sunday. We're really looking forward to seeing the team in SUper League next year, which as fairly new fans we haven't experienced before.
