On the Rammo podcast of his show, he claimed that we should hear about new signings and other player contract renewals next week.

Plus some news soon of a double header game with Skolars and Quins next season. Also the date has been set for the Captial challange in Jan(think it was the 19th) already, which is good if they dont decide to market it until the forenight before of course.



and looks like Skolars will be using more Quins players next season too, Rammo wasnt sure if they be signing some as well.

What is it a back slapping club-I hope Listy has been invited in recognition of the good work he did with the flag and Paddock for putting on a bus to Hudds(both who go to home and away games not like someone in red doc martins)

On happy news. It's good to see that former London Broncos players get together for a reunion over here. Saw Gilly a fortnight ago who mentioned it and Jimmy Dymock today who brought it up about him going to it. So even people who've never played together are all heading up North.

Nice to know it happens. Jimmy Dymock is the assistant coach at the Bulldogs.

Of course Paddock has been invited, it's really good of you to think of him, he has done a lot more than arrange a coach, he is a significant contributor behind the scenes. It's the club saying thank you to all the people who gave up their time on match days to assist them or worked in the office on a voluntary basis to help where needed. I hope everyone who goes enjoys their day, unfortunatley I won't be there as I can't attend the game. Sadly Lister is not on the list as he never made himself known to me when I asked for volunteers for a match day therefore regretably I was not in a position to put his name forward. But again it is kind of you to think of him

As for the Flag, I seem to remember contributing some cash towards the cost of that........but hey, what the hell. If it upsets you that much, why not pen a letter of complaint to the club

Is this box going to be some sort of farewell for all the fickle fans who contribute lots of money to the club and have supported them for 25 years who aren't renewing their season tickets because they can't get their own way when it comes to the stands that are open?

Listy-No it’s a back slapping club for Alison’s friends who have done ……….( quantitative data to follow- although I suspect it will be opinion) They have been that well received by the club that they no longer exist as an entity (taking away the internal squabbles and manoeuvring for the chairman’s seat)

Based on the above criteria Listy you are banned from the Cas game altogether.

WTF? You have no idea why certain people have been offered this by the club, or what, if any services they provided during the season, so why you think you have the right to post the rubbish above I have no idea.
Firstly, the 50/50 draw was organised by the volunteers and run by the volunteers. This provided a revenue stream for the London Wheelchair Group.....
Then there was the job of clearing the Stoop after the Union lot left the place looking like a landfill site the previous day, so the club could hold there festive day.....plenty of work done by the volunteers to ensure the club weren't embarrassed.
Next up was the work that was done by volunteers who helped with data entry...something the club have failed terribly with over the years.

There are plenty of other things that the volunteers group did over the season and the reason they were disbanded has nothing to do with "internal" squabbles as you put it, but because of other issues, some of which came out of the moved Catalans game.
I suspect that you are relitively new to Harlequins RL, as your statement about how well received the group have been is purile. The volunteers group have in the past provide invaluable help to the club for many many years and just because it has disbanded this year does not mean it will not be in place next year.
Lastly, if you want to comment on the volunteers group, put down your f^cking keyboard and raise your hand next time the club need help. Otherwise, don't comment on what you have no knowledge of.


Oh, by the way...you wrote

A lttle touchy there Glum Fox.

More than a little touchy. The Volunteers gave up pre-match socialising to run the 50/50 as well as their own time to help out. To call the offer of a box (it was done last year as well IIRC) a jolly for the friends of Alison is just rude and points to how little you understand their role over the years.

With the rumoured recruitment of NL1 players to the squad for 2010 as well as the recent incredible collapse in form, I would have though you would have been concentrating on other things rather than who the club wish to thank for their help over the season

Well said Gutters. I know the work put in by the volunteers have been invaluable, they deserve the pat on the back. I know coz I am one of them!
